    Considering the pilot used to fly old F-4 Phantoms for the air force, the guy was used to shaky flights and hard landings.

    the ditch into the drink probably reminded him of his glory days, in the military

    From another message board I am on there is a guy who has a friend who knew someone on the plane. The plane was likely half-filled with banking executives. Figures, even in plane crashes the bankers get bailed out.

    They just changed the rules on pilots to allow them to fly until they are 65. Just think, many more with Capt. Sullenbergerst expertise would have been forced to stop flying.

    I watched part of the special coverage on NBC tonight. The man that brought tears to my eyes was the father who said, "...and because of that man (Sully) my 2 1/2 year old daughter still has a daddy..." They are all very fortunate.
