I tell you what i hate more than seeing really simple words wrongly spelt, i hate to see the post where some snobby bugger corrects them.

You are not better or more intelligent, if your spelling is always precisely precise, sometimes you're just more anal.

Einstein's handwriting was virtualy unreadable, just want to point out we should not look down on those for a misplaced then or than lol :D:D

If you pay me, I certainly will! I'm a good English tutor. Recently I tutored an African friend of mine and I was so proud when he got an A in the class! He was headed for a C before he enlisted my help!

I try not to correct people unless they're being obnoxious. Going around, talking about how smart they are while making really obvious mistakes. It gets on my nerves and I just -have- to put those bitches in their place! *L*

Einstein's handwriting was that bad, huh? Maybe that's why -my- handwriting is so bad! I'm a fricken genius, hooray!

My Tutor last year for Psychology, told me that!
he apparently also used to miss out words from sentences, it came up when i had to hand in written work as my laptop had broken (it was very old )
well i have always done this aswell, i try not to:( i think i have written them then i go back and i have not.
She was putting my mind at rest (being nice) by saying thats its not uncommon with people who have a fast thought process, ie there hand is not fast enough for there minds. :D:D

So yes hooray you are a genius lol

Working in a hospital the no handwashing thing bothers me. Plus you see shows like 20/20 & 60 minutes where they go around swabbing doorknobs, elevator buttons, shopping carts, etc. then culture them. Some nasty results come back like fecal matter on shopping carts. When you go in Kroger or Schnucks they have sani-wipes for baskets. Most people I noticed don't use them. I can come up with a list of things that sound gross but that would take too long. So the grammar & punctuation doesn't bother me so much it. I try to spell everything correct but if others don't that's ok as long as you know what they are saying.

For years, people told me that my handwriting was 'chicken scratch.'

i don't mind that tho, because I think my doctor's handwriting is chicken scratch also.

I love my handwriting, it is the best. I'm prepared to write on a piece of paper, scan it, and post it, if anyone wants to argue that fact! Anyway, I get annoyed when people fuck up homonyms too. I'm horrible with punctuation though. I can spell and that's it! Anything else, pssht. I bought a little book called, Comma Sutra - Position Yourself for Success with Good Grammar. Get Sexy with Syntax! LoL "As entertaining as it is enlightening, Comma Sutra is guaranteed to stimulate your style chakras, perk up your paltry punctuation, and dominate your dangling prepositions -- adding an orgasmic lift to your daily lexicon!" Yea, I've never really put it to use. I've flipped through it before a few years ago, but don't remember much.

I don't mind my sloppy handwriting, because English professors want final papers typed now anyway.

    ;)

I blame the post-secondary educational system's progression, into our current technological age, for the downfall of American handwriting. I can not remember the last time I handwritten an assignment.

I can't even read my own handwriting, sadly.

I love writing by hand, I think it makes it...more personal? Something like that. I always write in cursive, just because that's how I do it. It's not much like the cursive they taught me in 3rd grade though. I've developed my own exclusive panache.

teachers have always been threatening me, about what would happen, if I did not stop writing like I had a broken wrist.

Tell me about it. I always had a hard time reading my own handwritten class notes when I had to study for exams. I noticed a peculiar pattern. At the beginning of a semester my notes were legible and clear. Towards mid-terms onward, my handwriting progressively deteriorated to an abysmal level of illegibility. I practically needed a decoder for exam reviews. I guess it inadvertantly showed that I lost focus/motivation as the semester went on.
