Oh yes, Malik. That game on Friday. Well, we Cavs fans can't get ahead of ourselves because we got Charlotte later on tonight. If we don't focus on the task at hand, we won't win. I'm sorry but I'm all about trying to beat the Bobcats right now. When that games done, we can make a little bet
It doesn't matter about the regular season, the postseason is the real deal. We all know that the Cavs, Celts and Lakers will advance to the playoffs, but what will happen then? Will the Cavs make another trip to the finals, and win this time? Will there be a repeat of last year's finals? Will the Lakers even make the Finals? Or any of these teams for that matter? That's the answer i'm seeking, as opposed to these rather interesting but obtuse regular season results.
Yeah, I get your point but post season isn't for a couple of months. Until then, regular season is the topic of discussion.
Lakers lose tonight but remain atop of the league by virtue of Boston losing tonight as well (to the Bobcats?). Check out these highlights. I don't care what anyone says, Kobe Bryant is the greatest basketball player I've ever seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxdAzj9FFoc
My jaw dropped when Kobe made 3 three-pointers in less than 1 minute. We lost because we didn't have Odom, Walton nor Farmar. Everyone is hurt right now. Bad news.
Kobe may be the best now, but in two or three years, Lebron's gonna be stealing that mantlepiece from him.
LeBron's play this year maybe enough for him to get that vote (as the best) right now. He's certainly in the race for MVP
As I heard some dude during a halftime report say, unless Lebron is still as good as Kobe or better than Kobe when he is Kobe's age, then he's not going to be be the best. He has to maintain how good he is and not just that, but improve. If he's still playing the same way as he is right now when he's 30, but hasn't developed at all(for some odd reason), I don't think he will be better than Kobe. But in 2 or 3 years, yeah, Lebron will be better than Kobe from then on if you're talking about how good they are currently, but overall careerwise, that's a different story.
Yeah, i totally agree, that's why i gave that space. I really do not want to open up that can of worms for the trillionth time, but Kobe for the best part of his career has played with All Stars and (future)Hall of Famers such as Karl Malone, Robert Horry, Gary Payton and of course Shaq. Lebron, for all of his talent, has yet to have a fellow All Star caliber player. You might say Big Z but he's been hurt too much and hasn't made the All Star game since like 2001. But generally, i agree with your point.
Kobe, Lebron, Chris Paul and Wade are having outstanding seasons. The numbers. Kobe: 27/5/4 48% FG, 37% 3 PT, 87% FT Lebron: 27/6/6 50% FG, 30% 3 PT, 79% FT Wade: 29/5/7 48% FG, 23% 3 PT, 75% FT Paul: 21/5/11 50% FG, 38% 3 PT, 88% FT Given that Miami will be lucky to get a 5 seed in the playoffs, it's unlikely that Wade will be a serious contender for the MVP. I also suspect that the Lakers will finish far ahead of the Hornets in the West, which leaves Kobe as the top contender for the MVP in that conference. The Cavs are sick at home (18-0), but will likely add more losses with Ilgauskus out for 4-6 weeks. The Lakers are also dealing with injuries too (Odom, Farmar, Walton), but if he can lead them to the best overall record in the league, I think he'll be due for another MVP award.
Best of luck to the Cavs. Lakers are playing the Pacers in LA tonight so I'm excited about that. artyman: I get excited about all Laker games, especially the ones in LA.
1up for LA.:smt038 Terry Porter did not look happy tonight man. And Shaq was 7-7 at the line. WHAT THE HELL??????!!!!!!!
Cavs won tonite! We played really well. Now it's on to the next game! That's how you gotta look at it What happened with the Lakers? Did they win?
The Celtics are awful right now. I have no idea what's wrong with that team. Congrats Cleveland on the great win. Bron Bron is truly a great player.
The Lakers are probably the favorite in the West. They've continued to play well. I'm so glad he's on our team. And everyone on the Cavs is helping out. Mo Williams has been outstanding for us. I can't say that enough. If we're gonna continue to be successful, we gotta have everyone playing to their full potential
Man, I was getting really nervous last night w/ that game! We lost to the Pacers last time in Indiana by like 1 point. I was gonna be pissed if that happened again! Thank God we won another one. Next game, Sunday in LA, against Miami. Let's go Lakers, let's go! :smt038
Thank you Malik. Of course, if the Celtics had won, I would have gladly done the same for you artyman:
