This white girl can dance! I am not saying I am great, but I have fun and that is what matters most to me!
right but i just dont like the fact that black ppl really think that whities have no rhythm. its not the truth!!!
Another one of those pointless threads to show on dumb some people are. I wouldn't call NYC a bastion of Progressive Thinking despite all the immigrants in town. You still have your factions and burrows and that is not healthy actually. So yeah you'll have some dumb-ass niccas with hardly any exposure to Russian women let alone American White women that might make statements like that. How utterly MATURE they are... Hip Hop is WORLD WIDE! People that don't even speak ENGLISH know who 50 Cent and Little John is. C'mon I was watching Ukrainian TV and saw "Love It Or Hate It" By The Game and 50 Cent on TV, in English, no sub-tittles plain as DAY. I also saw some Ukrainian Hip Hop artist and I mean the BLING, the Expensive cars, all of it you see in our Rap videos was in it. Interesting... Many people learn by WATCHING others, so it shouldn't be AMAZING to ANYBODY that other people enjoy black music and dance. I am shocked a bit by HOW MUCH they like artist we have long since throw in the trash. Artist are disposable, the general public forgets about them. They go over to Europe or Japan and tour for YEARS. Europeans don't forget, they wanna hear everything, not just the songs that made them famous. Ah America, I just say we can do SOOO much better than we are doing.
It's not true...but every group has to battle stereotypes....some people think all blacks are dumb....some people think all Asian men have small dicks.....some think all Latino men are abusive.....we need more WW and BM mixing together to get rid of these stereotypes...
It's not that white people can't dance, it's that most of them naturally don't dance like the continental Africans or people of Afro-descent in general. So it's not a racial thing, but a cutlural thing. Dancing is like talking, it comes naturally to human beings, but some people are better speaker than others in their mother tongue. Now ask a French guy to speak Russian and see how he will mangle the language untill he learns it and has been around enough russian to understand the nuances and inflections of speech, the patterns of the language etc. It's the same with dancing. We dance to music and the music and rhythm vary from countries to countries, from regions to culture. Barishnikov is a great dancer, a ballet star, but do you really expect him to naturally dance like the people in Congo? Of course not, he would have to learn the music, the steps and the different concept those Africans have of dancing. Anways, if you think white people can't dance, then go to any night clubs in Brussels, Paris or Kinshasa and watch the European who are steeped into African culture do negroid dance that most African American can't dream of doing. Exibit A: Watch this youtube footage very carefully and you will see that the white girl in the middle is by far the better dancer of the group, and she is surrounded by African girls! The name of the dance is "Lopele", from Congo-Kinshsa. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtHIlv7HVbA Exibit B: Here's another good dancer who is obviously fond of African culture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BecEUFRSI60 Here's the Ndombolo, arguably the most popular trans-continental African dance ever. How many Black Americans or Afro-Brazilian can do this dance naturally on first glance? They will have to learn the steps and try to understand the music and the concept. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QU5U0BD3XE . How many Africans do you see dance the Tango, Waltz or Polka? Most can't perform those dance naturally, they will have to learn like everybody else. So again, it's not a racial thing, it's cultural thing. If you like hip hop and apply your energy into dancing to that music, you're going to be a good dancer. And the greatest dancer this world has produced pratice for hours, weeks even. Because most of the popular rythmn and music today are the work of black artists, it's normal that black seem to have the upper edge on dancing. It's their culture or a variation of their very owen that came from the Motherland: Africa. Historically, Africans and European used different instrument to produce Music, hence the difference in body movement and rhythm.
True, just like people appear very articulate when they speak their own language. When you ask them to speak a foreign language, it becomes more difficult. So it's the same with Musica. Black people are good a doing "negroid dances".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZkAwEh2keA&feature=related here you go some russian dancing BUTT!!!... i dance better than any other blk woman we have our own moves -))) But at the same time i can tell that most of the blk girls are usually good dancers...it just comes naturally to them...big booty helps too -)))
I think it is not about race or culture but rather somebody being born with the gift to dance or not, period.
Okay I don't really agree with that.......I think black people are just in percentage more who can donce then white people. I mean does it really need skill to dance on Rock music? Thought so.. P.S This is in no way to degrade white people.
HAHA bullshit. white ppl cant dance. What makes blacks such good dancers is our exceptional hand-eye co-ordination. We are not clumsy and can usually "feel" the vibes of the beats from a drum, bass, as we kick to snares, and jive in fashions white people can only admire. Haha, I'll admit......"some" white people also have this rythmic ability, but the majority of them just flare their arms all over the place, while NOT even dancing to the beat.....like WHAT THE FUCK ??..my 3 year old cousin has better rythm than you!!!! lol
I can't dance at all. I can't follow the beat at all, I mean, I can bluff my way into a song I really like but then I become self-conscious and become uncoordinated. I am the laughingstock among many Africans. Someone must have stolen my rhythm back in boarding school...
/thead closed It is indeed a cultural thing. You can learn how to do any dance as long as you are taught. The difference is - YOUR talent will determine how good you are at it. I am a black male learning how to dance ballroom and am getting very good at it but when I first went in, of course I wasn't the best because I had to learn the steps, how to move, posture, ect. My instructor is Russian and can dance circles around anybody and look good doing it! I'm always mesmerized when I watch her move.
Who said white ppl can't dance? I'd say that we can't invent good dances.. but we can sure dance them if the inventors lets us steal them... ? :-D I love that dance camp, best one ever. Best teachers, best music. And to youtube you to death, one last clip:
Who says whites can't/didn't invent good dances? They just like everyone have strong and beautiful dances! The world doth' not revolve around just hip-hop!
