Frank Sinatra once sang a song on the Sopranos of having a very good year. Mine was when I was 24 and I met my wife in 2005. It was totally unexpected. Everything else was going great for me that year in a good job, great friends when I needed them, and family. Then she came into my life. Yes, 2005 was a very good year.

2007. I got my divorce decently early in the year, started off from January as single (that's when we separated and I filed). Spent the first half of the year stacking up my paper, then moved to Houston in August. Started school in October, and had a killer GPA by the end of the year. I was finally getting my shit together, so 2007 was a great year. I think it was the most drama-free year I've ever had, it was wonderful.

2001 was my year everything went right, i'd gotten a cool new job making double to what i had been, bought a brand new car that year(clio sport) had 2 holidays (both spain but who cares) plus a week at butlins getting off my face with my pals.

No responsibilities as free as a bird, living at my nans big house with no rent to pay, money in my pocket and never taking anything serious, i'd go days without sleeping i had an addiction to red bull, but from 2001- 2002 i had an absolute bloody good time, an i loved it :p:p:p:p:p:p

You will, baby. It took me til I was 22 to have one! Sometimes we just gotta ride it out til it happens.

For me it was 2003 because I got on a path to a better life and last year 2008 the year I finally came into my own. It wasn't what others may call a good year, in fact it was a very difficult year, in that I lost my job and other shit happening but it made me realize what's truly important in life. The best part of 2008 and one I will always treasure, is that I met a very special man who had such a profound impact on me, who completely changed and enriched my life and made me a better and wiser person. 2008 was a freaking rollercoaster of a year but I wouldn't change it for anything.

Ain't that the truth. It took me even longer ... till I was 36.

2006. My ex and I ended it with two days after New Years. I had to move back to my mom's. But a few months later I left there to go back to college. After looking for such a long time and coming up empty, I found a job, one that I'm still at today. I got my own place. I made some new friends. I turned a new leaf, never to look back :D

    Thanks Ajax

Whatever you do, don't give up on an education. I'm still working on mine (I can't take a whole lot of classes each semester; I just don't have the time to put into it. I work full-time) and it's hard sometimes. But I just keep on going. It will be worth it in the end

I have a feeling that my best year will be this one that just started.

1979 and 2007, in each of those years, I found a new freedom, life, and love, so I can't say one was better than the other, but they both were wonderful years. :D
