    I'm with you here!

    I like Charles Barkley (despite his recent troubles). I just don't want to end up looking like him and having to resort to this:

    That's why he has difficulty with his game. His golf swing is impeded by all of the girth around his belly. See how he's struggling?

    He's my incentive to get my butt back into the gym.

    His body is my nightmare scenario!

    Interesting deal. Karate and IT. Rare combination.

    Is the vacation to Japan or West Coast city? Also, any web dev. experience?

    1) Get a satisfiying job;
    2) If i get a job, buy a new car, make a trip;
    3) Find a man who loves me;
    4) Lose weight (I am supposed to be 20 kg less, but 10 will do it...).
    5) Study bellydance 4 times a week.
    6) Quit working on fucking weekends.

    6 things will do for now. :smt083

    I think people should only resolve to learn something, rather than picking the start of the year as a point of origin for correcting some personal defect. Losing weight or quitting that nicotine habit probably won't be successful under those circumstances.

    What I plan to learn:

    French (for academic reasons)
    more about non-American music
    personal finance

    And further immerse myself in political theory and philosophy.

    My resolution is to be happy and content and safe with my life. No more bad relationships at all

    This is a good list....especially the "quit working on the weekends" one....if it's affordable to do so....Sort of the "Work to live.....Don't live to work" idea.

    The reason why I think your list will work is that it all comes together:

    If you bellydance, you will lose weight. And believe me: Bellydancing WILL get the attention of a man...it would work for me.

    Eating less (something I have a very hard time doing) may allow you to stop working on weekends...or save up money for a trip...or a car.

    It's like each resolution works together with the others.

    You're setting yourself up for success (in my humble opinion).

    Good luck.

    WOW!!! This is very cool. :smt038

    Francie, use us for moral support if you need to. We (I) want you ( personally, I agree with you politically and get along with Brits in my neighborhood....selfish post on my part) AROUND FOR A LONG TIME.
