I felt pain in the roof of my mouth..minor pain; then I devolped a small hump in that same spot and the pain lessened...they did a couple of biopsies in that spot (quite painful) and discovered I had cancer. I wasn't too upset..because I had plenty of sleepless nights...one of the symptoms of bone cancer is that the pain tends to be worse at night..it was strange though because as soon as my cancer was discovered...i started to deteriorate...couldn't eat well because of the tumor in my mouth...and stopped lifting weights...so I dropped from 220 lbs to 170 lbs. I'll stop right now before I write a small novel..LOL

yeah that is the funny thing about Cancer or any serious diagnosis really...by the time it start a symptom, that symptom is just the tip of the iceburg...my mother was diagnosed with Gastric Cancer 5/04...she was 50 and liked like she was only 40 I tell no lie...and by 7/04 we had her home hospice and she died...I also see it at the hospital alot, people come in with infections, hardly any temperature, vital signs stable but as soon as they reach the ER, blood pressure drop, fever of 104, heart rater all over the place...it is funny like that

Ahh, the black guys are the cutest ones out there, believe me, there's nothing more beautiful than a big black guy with a bald/shaved head, and strong arms..... (never mind the snow in my yard might melt if I keep writing this....):smt007

That's the weird thing though, women who have no tendency toward being lesbian can still appreciate a good looking lady for what she is. We love to complement/criticize and talk about each others bodies/legs/hair/eyes.. whatever! We like to tell each other how we should look too.

UH EM I think you have to remember that as a doctor and a Nephrologist no less, you work with many older folks...and they are typically rather ill. I'm sorry but my experience of men is that they aren't rough legged or disgusting.

I can certainly understand where you don't have any pull towards men but I would hope that you certainly be grateful that women do! No need to be confused darlin. Revel in the fact that women love men....physically too.

my point is...yeah you can appreciate a woman's beauty b/c she is beautiful...a man knows that and women know as well...but a man, there is no beauty in that...really when you think about it, the only way a man can be beautiful is if he looked like a woman...and now you know we are having that bullshyt....

yeah I work with old people...but I am a black man growing up in a black world...I have been around black knuckleheads all my life and they are still ugly to this day...hahaha

By the time we got together, he was pretty comfortable with it. He did have to fight for his job/license though. And he was very active politically for the handicapped. I remember him lobbying when there was a court ruling that the Disabilities Act didnt cover someone who could use a prosthetic or other corrective device.

I think for him, loosing a limb allowed him to see himself more clearly. What drew me to him is there were no false ego or pretentions.

Oh, it took over a year for us to be intimate. I think he was maybe a little insecure in the beginning. Afraid to let me see.

What many of these women won't admit to is that they're already with ugly men.

Women want a good looking man with an edge, in the median between a pushover and a complete asshole. It pays to be somewhat of a jerk and cocky, because men like that are simply more interesting. Individual mileage may vary.

Many "hot" men are gay or straight with no intent of settling down, so women tend to gravitate towards other men with jobs that meet their minimal standards of physical attractiveness and have a pleasant enough demeanor.

An argument can be made that men generally do the same.

Would you know a hot man if you saw one?

I am 100 % hetro and very comfortable with my sexuality. If I see a good looking guy and someone asks me to describe him, I will say he is yay tall, this complexion and handsome. But I would not use the term hot.

    Touchy story.

    Please check,

MERCY SHIP- which is a missionary ship that travels Africa, mostly west Africa. It has plastic surgeons, ENT, Optho, and Gen. Surgs. They do Pro Bono work for disfigure people and their work is pretty good.

Well, I just joined this forum, because my boyfriend, theChosenOne (now on referred to as CO) is a part of it. So I have only recently started posting, very recently, lol. I love CO :smt050 and yes, he may not be ready to do any professional modeling anytime soon, but I find him very attractive and can barely keep my hands off of him (I have tried, but can't seem to resist him, lol). We found each other on another website, and I am so grateful I did. He is everything I could have ever wanted, and then some. It kind of hurts me to know what he went through. It's not fair. I wish I could have been there to take care of him and just to be there for him. But like CO said before, it was either look the way he looks now, or die young and handsome. Even though he was handsome before, I find him handsome now. I want to be nowhere else then in his arms, and when I look into his eye (yes, eye, inside joke, lol), I see my whole future with him and he makes me feel loved and at peace.

So because I know he will probably read this, I love you, CO, lol. :smt057 DW
