If he were real sweet and treated me right, I might do that, it's not about looks, nearly as much as about how he treats a girl. Oh, and if he has money that would help a lot too. ;)

hmm. nah, I'm way too visual. I'd probably have a hard time with it.

    Its hard to say ...

The only thing i know if something like that happened to my man or the person i dated already before the accident, my feelings would stay the same and i will be still with him ...

I hate to sound the way but to start dating some1 who has a face like that wouldnt be easy for me :(....

Well if i was out and it was a man id just met, then i would have to say no, but if it was someone i was already friends with for instance, and they were funny, articulate and well put together yeah i would :D

Call me shallow but no I wouldn't. Looks are important no matter how much we may want to admit they're not.

Me too. I feel bad saying it, but I don't think I could start dating someone like that :( I could definitely be friends though, but then, who knows what could happen after that, if it's meant to be it will be. But I know if it happened to a man I was already with and have already been in love with and all that good stuff I know I would stay. Kind of strange how that "works out". :smt102

im sure some would, but the majority nah, but if its your husband and he went off to iraq and his face melted because he got blown up in a ied, its the same person just a disfigured face,

    Women are Mysterious Creatures

I think I have a pretty good experience but still can't figure them out.

Some ladies tell you, looks is not everything but they are running after a good lookin' guy who doesn't give a rat's ass about them.

Others tell you, I want a nice guy, I want Mr. Clean; but they're always dating Fugly Bad Boy.

Look at Rodman, he is not exactly Robert Redford. But he always gets a nice tail.

Is looks important? you betcha, but not to every lady.

***One thing that I am certain, if a woman loves a man and he gets in a freak accident, that disfigures him to the point that he looks like the Guy from the Phantom of the Opera; she will still love him dearly, and would spend the rest of her life with him.*****

    lol! :)

I think look is important but I might fall in love with an ugly guy if I really liked his personality and he treated me right.

Seems like someone made this topic just for me...hmmm...interesting.

I was a fairly normal looking dude...kinda handsome depending on who you ask; but I was diagnosed with cancer back in '06...and they had to do some work...I won't get into too much detail unless anyone wants to know..but no...I don't look the way I used to in the face...everything else is essentially the same...if I wear sunglasses...you might not catch on right away unless you are staring me down...but I had to choose between having my face resemble the Batman character "Two-Face" (ok..not quite that bad...but it's what I call myself) or dying at age 20...as a handsome young man. I chose to live and accept my fate...that's not to say I won't make any alterations...but I'm not sure right now how much I want to change.

Looking different forces you to hold your cards closer to your heart...so to speak.

Everyone on here...and I suspect people in the world are generally very much into looks. Oh we say it doesn't matter much...but we know it does...we only say it doesn't matter in order to appear as if we have more depth of personality than we actually do. There is nothing wrong with having physical preferences...it makes the world go 'round. I've learned a lot about people...and become far more mature and sagacious because of my experience as the world's blackest cyclops....most people seem to look past my obvious flaws while other's (usually old people and children) can't stop staring....I saw this at the hospital (ironically)...and while I was volunteering for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive...the kids could not stop looking......of course...they donated mad loot because they were mesmerized by me...kinda cool in a way.

I found a wonderful girl that...is one of those rare birds that is attracted to me on the inside...and the outside as they go hand-in-hand. My road is harder than most of the pretty people on here...but I know if I find a girl (especially before I graduate from school)...she's not going to be using me for my looks or money...LOL.

    :smt107Strong work.

My medical side wants to know, if you would, what type of cancer was it?

Retinoblastoma? Or something else? Is it gone or are you still on chemo/radiation?

Maxillary osteosarcoma. My grandfather is the only person in my direct lineage that I know of that had cancer....he had bone cancer as well I think...it's kind of crazy because he died right before i was born and they say I look just like my grandfather..my father couldn't be there for my birth because he was burying his father..and taking care of my grandma....

My chemo/radiation schedule lasted about 50 weeks...they got all the cancer out...but i get checked periodically with CT scans/MRI's....they took out more than they had to...but I'm glad they did.
