Best album: Q-Tip - The Renaissance

Don't listen to hip-hop nearly as much as I used to, but albums like this restore my faith every time.

Best film: Let the Right One In

See the original Swedish version, not the likely shitty American remake.

Honorable mentions: Milk and Bigger, Stronger and Faster

    Best TV Show: The Wire

I don't follow any show anymore, because there is no point in watching television after The Wire.

I haven't read any books that were published in 2008, but The Night Gardener by George Pelecanos was the best work of fiction I read all year.

    Paris-Acid Reflex

    This album is RAW!!!!

Best film: I don't know, but I'm thinking that when I have seen Låt den rätte komma in/let the right one in, it will be that one.

    Best TV show: Spooks, brilliant!

Best book> The girls from Riyad, because it opened my eyes in so many ways, and was still chicklit enough. And Pia Tafdrup: Över vattnet går jag. (Over the water I go), wonderfully written about the need to write and about poetry. Or maybe Anne Applebaums GULAG. Terrifying read.
