I was the "other woman"

    I was the wife!

She's right women know, or at least we have strong reason to suspect, but many of us (white women too) will not call it quits, there's a lot more to a marriage than just fidelity, and when there are children involved, or good sex, and maybe a joint business, or money issues. It's a lot to resolve. Besides that we tend to blame ourselves for their problem, I know that's not healthy but it happens, and we try to fix it.

IMO - A man who is unfaithful more than once in a marriage will probably never change.

In my experience many, many married men will cheat on their wives, but most of them will not leave their wife for the other woman, unless she leaves kicks him out when she finds out.

Seriously though, if you date a man who is currently married, even if he says he's getting devorced, then would you really be able to trust him to be faithful to you if you were having problems and "trying to work them out"??

Single guys are single, because married guys are hogging all the women. Where do you ladies find these assholes?

Edit: Fixed spelling... typing on iPod touch is for the birds.

You did the right thing in my opinion. No man deserves two women and each woman deserves a partner that is completely dedicated to her.

No one is worth the subjugation of a woman's (or man's) morals or self-worth.

You made him homemade soup? It doesn't get much more serious than that, does it?

At any rate, I think sometimes women believe what they want to believe, and players know it and exploit it.

Do you ever go to their house? If not, does it not seem a bit suspicious?

Oh, goodness, people are still posting on this from July! I saw the guy a few more times after this post, and it was "officially" over in August.

    To answer some questions:
    • Yes, he is black. She is black and white.
    • I went to his apartment which was his alone. His wife lived 300 miles away and he relocated to my town to work. This is why it took me awhile to catch on.
Little white lies were uncovered during our last weeks together. For instance, he told me his wife was a lawyer, but she was really a legal secretary. Why the hell would you lie about that? Very strange. When I broke up with him, he actually had tears in his eyes. All I could think of was the Rihanna song "Take a Bow".

Now, I'm a little older and a little wiser. I will not make the married guy mistake again.
