http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117981913.html?categoryid=13&cs=1 Beyonce Knowles, Ali Larter and Idris Elba will star in "Obsessed," a thriller that Screen Gems will put into production this summer. Steve Shill will direct a script by David Loughery. Will Packer produces, and Knowles will be exec producer along with her father, Mathew Knowles. Screen Gems topper Clint Culpepper is finalizing cast deals, working with Knowles' and Larter's reps to iron out scheduling kinks. Knowles is also producing and co-starring as Etta James in "Cadillac Records" for Sony BMG; Larter is working on episodes of NBC's "Heroes." In "Obsessed," Elba will play an asset manager who has a knockout wife (Knowles) and thriving career until a temp office worker (Larter) begins stalking him. Knowles was last seen onscreen in "Dreamgirls," Larter in the Screen Gems films "Resident Evil: Extinction" and "Final Destination," and Elba last appeared in "American Gangster." He next stars in "Prom Night" for Screen Gems.
the first time I saw Idris Alba was in a British vampire series called "Ultraviolent" this is a like a smarter than your average vampire movie...had great storylines and concepts.
looking forward to this.. hopefully the girlfight scenes somehow manage to shoehorn in a jello pit or waterfall...
Beyonce needs to disappear...this is just overkill.....this is the same path J.Lo went on and on until nobody care anymore.
B is an overrated and untalented performer to begin with. Not very attractive either. This movie doesn't sound like it will be box office worthy.
Sounds like you are a Beyonce-hater for some reason. I don't see how one couldn't acknowledge that she is an attractive woman.
ATTENTION... Please see my previous post for info on the poster who made that statement.:-x PS>April 24th is the opening date for the flick.
This movie opens one week before Wolverine: Origins. Hmm... Well, it's bound to get at least one good weekend at the box-office... ..Wonder if there will be a soundtrack.. does Ali sing? ..Say, maybe Beyonce can guest star for a few episodes on Heroes..
This whole thing just smacks of an interracial Fatal Attraction for today's generation. Though I'll at least give props to Ali Larter, she's way hotter than Glenn Close was in the role.
Beyonce is an excellent singer but because she doesn't play an instrument or write many of her own songs and relies too much on the same old recycled beats etc...it tends to drag her down. Some people overachieve and some underachieve. For her talent level..she's right on par in terms of fame but the overall quality of her music is beneath her...she has that "grew up singing in the church choir" voice when she's singing a-capella with her ex-group members like she did on a local Dallas morning show not too long ago. She is over-exposing herself though. Ali Larter is hot...check her out in the movie 'Varsity Blues.'
I disagree, this will bomb. And this does resemble that Fatal Attraction movie, having the exact same plot (except with that pet being cooked): single, desperate, homly woman going after a successful but unhappy married man. And I mentioned Beyonce' being terrible acting as well singing (and looks), the rest of cast doesn't excite me either.
