True. The thing is that, unfortunately, I lost all my imagination and passion I used to have. I remember as a kid staying up all night just sketching. My favorite "toys" were always a pencil and a pad. My high school experience kind of brainwashed me to go to college and aim for the most profitable career. Plus, I kinda invested way too much at this point to turn in another direction, even if I would be somewhat happier with a job in art or music. I'm at that age where I have to settle on a career, and I chose law (I like it but it can be demanding). Now, I'm just too corporate. :(. I'm slowly metamorphisizing into a "suit". I still have the knack for art, but no drive - at least to become an animator. I know my 14 year old self would be kicking me in the ass now. :)

Thats the thing I'm most scared of, ending up giving up what I live for to work with some braindulling ordinary job (not saying yours is). I have to succeed with this, I don't know what I would do otherwhise.

    O.O

...you're turning into "The Man" now.

I think we're supposed to fight now. Hmm. Or maybe I'm supposed to "stick it to you". But that sounds a bit uncomfortable for the both of us, so I'll abstain.

Id be glad to but they are quite time consuming, i am a sale girl through and through im the person you find waiting in line outside of Debenhams on Boxing day morning waiting for it to open.

Ie perfumes i buy after christmas as gift boxed ones are usually half price after christams, my wood flooring was just under £300 for front room i wanted it for ages but i waited and waited, there was a sale and i managed to get it for just under £200, i could go on and on but mostly keep your money in your pocket dont impulse buy, waiting will get you something much cheaper and usually better quality. :D

Anything in the artsy realm. Music, art, dancing. Right now, focusing on skilled dances: ballroom, latin, hustle, swing, ect.

This sounds like a case of the "Debbie Downer Syndrome!" LOL I think all of those could be considered talents!

"Debbie Downer" is a Saturday Night Live skit. She always finds the negative in every issue!

OoooooooOOOoh, okay. I don't think I've seen it. Which is weird because I do watch SNL sometimes. Hmm. :p

Yeah, I look at my friend who is my age and we both went to high school and college together. He is way smarter than me and can do anything he wants but he chooses to wait tables in order to have the time and enough money to fulfill his dream of making movies. He's actually moving to California to make it happen in 3 months. He looks at himself as a loser, as he tells me, since he doesn't have a conventional career, but I even told him that I look up to him for never quitting on his dream. I live vicariously through him, for real. He's gonna be the next Tarantino, I'm sure of it. Here's his site, he even has some clips that he made:

Trust me, I go through this dilemma inside my head all the time! Even my political/ideological views are leaning more and more to the right with each passing day! :smt103

This looks interesting enough to BUMP.

Yes, I'm bored, so I went digging. What's funny is I found this while looking for cartoon threads, lol.

One talent that I know I have (though I haven't put it to much use in a while) is writing. I started writing poetry & stories at about age 6.

If I have any other talents, I don't recall what they are at the moment, so I'll have to think about it. lol

I'm pretty good at producing music, I'm a pretty decent singer, and I'm pretty decent at writing. Nothing else is coming to mind right now.

I'm gifted with manual things, if it requires hand-eye coordination I usually do it very well in a short amount of time. I express it most in artwork of two or three mediums.

I guess writing is my real talent, but I'm pretty good at photography and art in general. Had a talent for music when I was younger but never carried it on. I should have though. I miss it.
