Question for the ladies about marriage.

I am not married, but I am planning to marry the BM I am with, eventually.

 

There wasn't a choice for "I am not married but would like to marry a MAN someday!". That's me. I am attracted to all types of men.
My parents have been happily married for 35 years. I want that.

I am divorced, and will not get married again. But I would enjoy spending loads of time with a great man, no marriage, just pure unadulterated love.

This is a stretch, but maybe the original poster thought since this is a site called whitewomenblackmen that responders prefer black men.

 

Ha...yeah, I got that, however even though that is the official name of the site, you will find many members across the board feel this way. I am very attracted to black men, but I can appreciate a good man, no matter his race.

Well im technically still Married to a black man, but my status should be changing in the not too distant future, would i marry another black man, maybe depends what hes like i suppose lol
But like Kuntrygirl if i marry someone he does not have to be a specific colour

Thats why I set up the poll that way. I figure that this is a WW/BM site so the womans first preference would actually be a black man even if they are attracted and open to other men for dating/marriage too.

When we are talking about sex symbols and "fun" its all about the black men but I find it odd when I bring up marriage someone is quick to say..."well I just wanna find a guy.. why would it have to be black men?".

Definately not trying to attack anyones preference, but brothers take note to stuff like this.

Because marriage is a bit more serious than drooling over hot guys on the internet. And because if we start posting pictures of hot guys of other races, and talking about them at length, we'll be reminded that this is "whitewomenblackmen.com".

When it comes to romance I certainly prefer black men, but I keep my options open. I won't turn down a non-black man if I'm feeling him, but black guys have a leg up because I'm naturally attracted to guys with much darker skin tones. And juicy lips

To answer the question...I don't really know how to answer the poll. I'm divorced as well, and I don't know if I'll ever take the plunge again. I think I'd like to, someday, and I would be quite happy if I could find me a wonderful man who's black to exchange vows with, but I sincerely don't know if I could marry anyone. I won't rule it out, but it would take such a special guy to get me to do it that I'm not sure I can ever find someone who can live up to my stringent standards. I could have a lifelong relationship with someone who doesn't fit the standards perfectly, but in order to get the paperwork drawn up I'll have to just...know. Beyond a shadow of a doubt that the person I'm going to marry is the person I truly want to spend the rest of my life with, come hell or high water. I don't want to have more than 1 ex husband if I can help it.

 

I am married to a black man and still in the lovely honeymoon phase where I cant help but smile anytime I think of him. I am smiling now, reading this thread. Proud to answer I am married and happy.

But, I get where the women are coming from. My physical preference has always been black men from the time I started dating, but there were never any designs to only marry a black man. I just got lucky.

I understand completely, but that same exact logic applies to marriage. If you are more attracted to black men (hence being on this site), plus you admit you also would love to get married one day it would only make sense to choose "I would like to marry a black man one day". The choice doesnt say "I will only accept marrying a black man one day" or "all other races of men are out of the question for marriage". Like I said fellas take note.

Well Scott, I don't know if this is the type of answer you're looking for I did answer your poll. But I wanted to say, I am very much in love with a very wonderful black man and hope to marry him someday.

So Yes, I hope to marry a black man someday (him)! If that doesn't pan out my answer may change.
