I was in Manchester and London last Christmas. I found both cities to be great to visit. But I did feel that the white English people were a bit ignorant. They think they are the best thing that happened to the planet earth. What say you?

i didn't mean all white English people of England. Just some who i had contact with. My relatives live there for the past 73 years and they still get discriminated aganist by white english people. I only go to England to meet friends and relatives who invite me. Sorry for the missconception. My fault.:(

P.S: I'm not a Democrat hatered because my parents are democrats and i voted for Obama. My uncle is a jew and i love him like my dad. so your comments are a bit arrogant. But it is o.k. No harm done. your just mad.

Man you had in one of your threads that Jews were ignorant and descriminated against you, yeah i read the part about your uncle being a jew also, but you contradicted yourself alot

And yeah i am mad that your ragging on my Country ? dont understand why, i think race relations certainly have a way to go in America aswell, but quality of life here for everyone !!!! is a good standard.
Why dont you start a thread about something thats not negative for a change?????????

sorry to got you in a bad mood. But this what i hear from my relatives and friends. Most of my family and friends are black english and Indians from India (They married into the family too). They work in high tech companies and most of their colleagues say to them to go back to their orgianal countries because their are taking their high tech jobs. I call it competition, whoever can do the job better gets the job. Some people in England feel that since they are English they deserve the job. Race relations are about the same in America and England. I don't see a change.

Actually... this is an attitude that is sadly in the UK. "Go back to your own country" type thing. It's not just said to other races but said about Eastern Europeans too. Those kind of people don't represent the whole of the UK though. There's some good ones out there.

Is it like this in Scotland? I haven't been there. About 1-2% have that kinda attitude here in America. America flourishes with educated legal immigrants from all of over the world.

Go back to your Countries ?????? what are you on about? if somebody ever spoke to you like that in an english workplace all you would have to do is tell your employer, as its grounds for instant dismissal, ive worked with black guys and white guys, the only thing you notice is that white blokes are some times on tenterhooks ref anything that might be considered racist!!

Ive witnessed this in a mans enviroment, ie i was one of a handful of girls for southeast, only one in kent quite a while !!!
But mostly overall it depends on the black guys there was a handful that jumped to racist conclusions for everything, WHEN IN FACT THEY WAS JUST NOT VERY POPULAR, but the other black guys were just one of the guys.

There are white and black people who are not liked in the workplace, usually because they are just A*SES.

I'd like to say most people aren't like this. Usually the people that say that sort of stuff are people who complain that the Eastern Europeans/other races steal their jobs and stuff like that. Just ignorant idiots basically. It's the same all over the UK really, I guess this is more of a "small town mentality", you're more likely to find people with this narrow minded view in small towns where there's not much work and people blame people of other ethnicities for this. People with that sort of mindset are a minority for the record. The UK is full of great people too.

The river that goes by my home town, river Deveron, I love it.

The river Clyde is nice, well some of it, the part in Glasgow isn't so nice. Nicest place I've been to here would be Glen Coe, it's beautiful. All the Lochs are nice too. Generally a nice country scenery wise.

Haha no, I just searched my home town in google. I'm not much of a photographer. Yeah, I like it here. I used to hate it here when I was younger but I appreciate it a lot now. I've always wanted to go to Russia. My dad was meant to move there a few years ago for work but it fell through. I always used to look at it in the travel brochures and think that the architecture there was amazing. I like cold weather too so it would suit me :)

My grandma tells me some stories about the cold in the north of Russia... she says "in the winter we had -40 C, and it was okay" What???:smt103 Inconceivable to me. I don't like cold.
