Sounds like he was on a power trip..just see how y'all would react and see what he could get away with...it happens. Some of us do it.... imply racism or bring it up when it isn't therejust to makewhites feel real uncomfortable. Some blacks are quick to bring up racism in the workplace and feel no sympathy for how it would make their white co-workers feel since they're facing it everyday so ".....who cares how they(white people ) feel." Its surreal at times...anything that happens in the news...local paper.. an issue of race can be made about it....the election brought race up every now and then at my job. Blacks talk about it amongst themselves..whites kept quiet. Blacks wearing "Obama" caps to work (althought its against company policy to wear logos of any kind...sports, political parties, fashion labels,etc.)..no one said anything. Those few whites who offer a contrasting opinion to the support of Obama, michael vick,Katrina ..get branded the label behind their back (lots of whispers). Crazy shit.
Yea, he was kind of weird. He's the one I got fired for grabbing my ass. That night it was me and him and two other BM working. But the other two BM took my side because they knew what he did was wrong. And he was trying to say, "Us black people gotta stick together." at them after he got in trouble (one of the BM was a manager and the other used to do something about women's rights/sexual harrassment) so they didn't go any too easy on him. When he said that we all just gave each other a look with raised eyebrows and tried not to laugh. Well, for me it doesn't make me uncomfortable, just disgusted and like "WTF" and I tend to think they are crazy and need to talk to a mental healthcare professional. Sounds pretty contrary to me. Maybe they didn't want to be called racist because they weren't for Obama? That's understandable. Yeppers...:smt119
No, because many of their commercials have some kind of hip-hop, or urban influence in the shit damn near every time it shows black people in the commercials. Like dancing or some shit. Had nothing to do with the chicken nuggets or the food at all. They can be eating a double cheeseburger.
So was that commercial stereotypical or not? It was stereotypical because the black dude was singing an R&B song? OMG!! He was singing it to a BW too! That's so stereotypical that a BM and a BW would be together! :smt037
