OK, I should change my name to Columbo, that's the second time I've been called a detective.

    Detective Tinkerbell it is! :D

Who else called you a detective?

It was Karma in a thread about DI. He actually said I was a Columbo. Maybe I snoop too much.

Sorry, didn't mean to bust you guys out.

But of course no one really knows, right??

Unless it is something you really want to do, and are willing to pay the price when you get back. Tip: bring flowers when you come back home and tell her how much you really missed her when you were hanging with the boys.

Even if I said #4. He should know better. :D

I agree, but sometimes guys really don't have a clue what we mean, I mean not all of the wonderful men in this world got a copy of this amazing language lesson!!:p

Personally, I think, I'd take the flowers, etc... and then expect some extra special payback on to of that. Now that might make it worth it, if he took me up the #4.

True, but he should know my facial expressions well enough to know that I don't actually mean, "go ahead". Because I won't be saying it with a smile on my face or in a friendly voice.

I don't tend to do that too often though. Only when I'm at my wit's end with him, will I resort to these "tactics".

I'd tell the guy to keep the flowers. Just give me jewelry instead. LOL. (I'm totally kidding). He can take me out to a movie for all I care. (I'm easy to please. :D )

Oh, we know this, but our response is basically, "I am going to do it anyway, sorry."

The gesture I described afterwards is just a way of saying, "I know you weren't pleased about this but I am my own man and this is something that was important to me. I love you, let's move on."

After all, two people can't agree on everything, can they?

I would never try to make a man bend to my will. Nor would I want him to give up his friends to spend every waking (and sleeping) minute with me. But, there's a time and a place for that. And if he chooses the wrong time to do that...then we'll have problems. ;)

You see, Sir, that if I said #4 - it means I'm willing to compromise, albeit not to happily, but for some ladies it means they are just stopping the argument, and you still better not do it. - Your wife is probably like me in that. But I used to be more like Bookworm.

I'd take the flowers as an "I love you" and we'd move on. But if I'm really not willing to compromise you will never again get the #4. This is what you get. :smt014

EEK! I'm going to have to explain myself, I see. I'm talking about instances where a guy will blow me off (after we've made plans) and THEN he gets the #4. If he still goes out, then there's no amount of flowers will make up for the disrespect he showed me. I guess my reaction comes from not being respected by the men in my life. :smt017

However, I've learned quite a few things since then, and that won't be happening again. :D

Sorry, understood! I think we're probably on the same page there. I wasn't talking about any instance in particular, just my common use of that #4.:-D

(11)Is that your final answer:I'll be waiting for you to change your mind...you have less that 2 minutes...

(12)I think you are confused:This is when a person has an idea about how things are going to happen vs. what lippy has in mind
