It depends on the woman, most don't warm my soul. Romance should feel effortless and natural, rather than like a chore.

I agree. Romance shouldn't be forced. You should want to do it for your significant other because you want to, not because they're forcing you to....

I agree with you, but I think that a lot of men r just non romantic. so they can love u a lot and still they won't do anything romantic. Buying a flower or taking you out to dinner is not that hard. If u know that it can make me happy, WDF, just buy me a flower, take me out to dinner. Women do a lot of things they don't like doing for their men. We wash, iron, clean, raise children. We wear that "floss" on our ass just to be sexy for u. And u can't be romantic sometimes? C'mon... I just think that most of times they r sooo selfish. :smt012

Just for the record, I'll take boy shorts over floss any day of the week.

And, I agree. It's not too hard for us fellas to show you ladies a little romance. I also agree that we have pretty high expectations for our women, and if you aren't giving us those things we want it's hell. Maybe it's time women raise their expectations too and quit giving guys who obviously have no intent on giving you what you want chance after chance after chance.

That's a lesson I had to learn the hard way. But, I'm glad I went through it, because now I'm more aware of how well I should be treated and I won't take anything less. :D

Sounds like it. He's also young, so I'm sure younger women don't really appreciate romantic gestures. Keep doing it Toronto, you'll find a woman who will appreciate it. :D

:smt056 It will be okay, don't give up! I'm sure many more women appreciate romance than ones who don't. I know I do appreciate it. Hopefully you're luck will change. Keep your head up..

WOW that's more than bad luck, I'm sorry to hear it.

I don't understand how women cheat, but that's just me. Please don't judge the entire sex by one idiot. I wish you much better luck next time, don't give up.

Most of us don't cheat, ever!!

    Why don't you understand it?
And I'm afraid a load of women do cheat. Men are often portrayed to be the worst cheaters but women can be just as bad.

Sorry Sarah, I don't know why I don't understand it. It is foreign to my thought process. I don't know any woman who have cheated on their men, they usually break up first, then they start over. It's considered more acceptable.

If they have cheated they sure don't tell me about it. (maybe that speaks more of me than them, but that's the way it is)

My man cheated on me about 6 or 7 times over 26 years and I tried to forgive and forget every time I found out. I went through hell, and I could never do that to another person. My lady friend know that about me and may not tell me if they did do it.

I feel you, sorry for what you went through. It's horrible to be cheated on. I couldn't cheat on a guy knowing how horrible I felt between the 2 serious relationships I've had. Course I haven't been married for 26 years and can't imagine how you felt... people say you should walk but it's hard to throw everything away.

I do know a lot of women who have cheated. I think maybe the women are less likely to tell people, I don't really know... but it's not completely uncommon. Hell, my friends sister who just got married last year was caught in bed with another man last week.

Thanks, I had a lot of friends who said I should walk, for sure, but I had 4 kids who loved their father, and I always thought we could make it work.

And I was probably a bit of a co-dependant too, to be honest.
