Is anyone here Christian? I am a Christian but not a perfect one. I used to be agnostic when I was younger and now I'm a Christian.

I am a Christian. No one is a perfect one, you just have to strive to do what God asks of us. I am nowhere near perfect, but I do try! What made you become a Christian and congrats btw!

My Dad is a Catholic My Mum is Church of England the 2 of them could not agree as to which all three of us would be Baptised, its a very long running disagreement in there marriage lol.

Back in my teens though i used to go for Midnight Mass at Christmas time where i used to live and was a regular visitor to Aylesford priory which was in same village a great place www.thefriars.org.uk , and had a brief spell of going to a Church of England School.
We have a beautiful church in the village im in now planning on going to the christmas service there this year, make a bit more of an effort as i can hear the church bells when my windows are open which is simply lovely.

So i consider myself Christian does that count

I am a Christian, and a perfect one I dare to say! :smt051

What I mean is that any Christian is a perfect one, if at that moment they have again asked our Lord to forgive any sin they may have committed. All that makes us perfect is His forgiveness, not our actions or lack thereof. So if you believe, and confess your sin you are a perfect Christian!

When we fall we get back up, we don't stay down!

Raised Catholic, have gone away from organized religion, and now consider myself an agnostic.

I believe in God, but am not a fan of organized religion.

Me too. As far as I believe in God, but I am not a fan of organized religion. But also, I believe that every organized religion could have it's rights and wrongs and I don't think anyone has the right to say which one is right or wrong and I believe that people should be allowed to believe whatever feels right to them. Unless it affects me like when I told my man he was acting like some kind of witless slave for becoming Muslim and told me he can't marry me because it's against his beliefs and his Islamic community (mostly because I was hurt by it.) But we straightened that out. Personally, I value my freedom to be able to explore different faiths, or aspects of them. To learn and to do whatever I want, marry whoever I want, eat whatever I want, do whatever I want on Sundays, and let people be who they are. And more often than not, I'm embracing New Age spirituality.

I use to be a christian, as a matter of fact I was going to be a pastor. Then I saw the light. There and old saying, "the more you look, the less you see"

Are you Muslim? Just curious. I read some of your posts before that maybe made it sound that way... Just curious.

what I wrote made me sound like a muslim, Wow! interesting, But I'm neither. Why, because as i look at the world Most people are terrorized by 4 dominant constructed ideology( which they all have good tenets, But Still) Islam, Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism.

 A little bit. I thought it could be possible. I don't remember now what I read though. What post it was or where...:smt017

Yea, I've said before (not on here) that "Religion is evil." I see how it can terrorize people. I've seen it cause hate, war, murder, psychological sufferance, and the like. But, while that's my opinion more often than not, I like to "Live and let live." and believe, "To each their own." My man just reverted to Islam not too long ago. I'm trying really hard to accept and respect that. It's totally new for me. But it makes him happy, so okie dokie...

Yes, every major war has been cause by religion, Including the one at present.

Every war without exception is about resources. They may wrap it in religion, but if there were no resources (such as oil in Iraq), there would be no war.

Of coarse, people would rather believe it is the evil of religion as it is easier to accept than the evil of greed.

Muslims and Christians were fighting for hundreds of years prior to the discovery of black gold. So I'll say it again. ALL WARS are started from some sort of religious ideology.

THe Crusades surely weren't about "black gold".

eh, I guess I'm bitter. Lost the most important person who's ever entered my life, and I was helpless. You wonder how 'he' can allow one of his children to hurt so.
