I think I like Michael Beasley as Rookie of the Year. Derrick Rose is nice wit his, though. His quicknees and size are a tremendous asset. If the Heat can hit some outside shots the middle should open up. Beasley will also benefit from playing with D Wade. Wade's penetration then dishing will be fun to watch. Can't count out Greg Oden yet, either. Portland may be a playoff team.
NBA Picks Bryant----Do u all do NBA picks as well? I use to be into basketball back in the day and last year I picked it back up again.... I was highly inpressed with Chris Paul.....I believe that Kobe is an outstanding player and leader, but he has outstanding play makers also that allow him to look so good.... I think the the Celtic are also outstanding....the 3 amigos got some good shit going on.....
The Lakers early in the season appears to be the team to beat. Crystal Ball Rookie of the Year: Rudy Fernandez MVP: Lebron James Most Improved Team: The Knicks Most Regressed Team: The Wizards
My Cavs are looking pretty tough this year. We're playing together and everyone's getting involved. I love what Mo Williams brings to us. He has so much energy. We just need to keep it up. We have a shot at the NBA title
Dex216 C'mon playboy you don't really believe the Cavs have a legit shot at the title this year do you?? You gotta get past Ronto, ATL, The Heat, Detroit, and the Celtics
Rookie of the Year: Derrick Rose MVP: Dwyane Wade Most Improved Team: Atlanta Hawks Most Regressed Team: Dallas Mavericks And yes, the Lakers are clicking on all cylinders, and appear to be the team to beat at the moment, but it's a long season, and i'll wait and see how they do against Boston on Christmas day.
I think we have as good a shot as anyone in the league. We have a strong team. We're playing well. Mo Williams has been a godsend to the Cavs. All the above mentioned teams are formidable, but the Cavs just have to take care of their own business. I'm optimistic
Cavs will do well this year, its King James's contract year. After a phenomenal season he'll be primed to bring his A-game to Brooklyn.
Lakers won again tonight!!! :smt038 2 more home games then we're on the road all week next week!! Only 1 loss so far..... I hope we have a great year!!!
Don't worry, y'all are going to win at least 55 games this year. The Western Conference is all shook up now, with the inconsistent Rockets, the inexplicably dull Mavs, the aging Spurs and the overrated Suns. Thats about all the competititon out there. I've always felt the Western Conference was overrated, given that the top teams don't deliver in the playoffs. However, this time, if the Lake Show gets to June, i wanna see 'em play Cleveland this time, instead of the Celts. That'd be an even bigger Finals series. The hype will nearly reach Jordan-Barkley of '93.
He's not going to Brooklyn or Manhattan. He's gonna stay right here in Cleveland. He wants to win a title with the Cavs. He doesn't need New York. He has all the notoriety where he's at. The Cavs have put a team around him to contend for a title. Knicks and Nets fans, try getting D-Wade. Lebron's not interested
Spoken like a true baller, LC. Couldn't have summed up the Western Conference better myself. I haven't watched any games yet, but from the highlights that I've caught, the Lake show look to be clickin' on all cylinders so far this year. Being a Lakers fan, I needs me a championship in the worst way.
Yeah, the Eastern Conference definitely has more to deal with in terms of strong teams but it's important that the Lakers come out with a good start and a lot of momentum to keep up w/ the stuff they're going to deal with on the road. Every game is exciting for me. Just one step closer to a ring. We need a ring!! Oh, and this is off topic but I loves me some Laker girls. Wow!
I dunno. I was there at the Garden Tuesday. LeBron seems to be getting used to NY. Even in his interviews he seems to be thinking about his options more. 2010 will be interesting in the offseason.
I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it. Whatever happens happens. I'm just gonna worry about this season. That's all that matters. We've gotta keep playing well if we want a title
Man am i glad the Lakers lost. The hype surrounding that team is unbearable. And congrats to Indiana for being the only team to beat both Boston and L.A. Too bad they can't beat the teams they're supposed to beat though.
It was a crappy win for the Pacers and stupid loss for the Lakers. Shouldn't have come down to 1 shot. Sad.
Hopefully it serves as a wakeup call for L.A. I think they were too busy reading their own press clippings, and they've been putting it on cruise control during every game after they get a big lead. They're good enough and deep enough to get big leads, but as of late, they haven't been able to hold them, and they've been letting teams get back into the game. With all that being said, Indiana is a very good team, and should be given credit. When i looked at the Lakers schedule, i looked at the Indiana game as being one of the few that L.A. could possibly lose, so i wasn't at all surprised by the outcome, because like i said, Indiana was already good enough to beat Boston and i knew they would be good enough to beat L.A. as well.
