What's going on with you?

I <3 karaoke. I go every week when I have time. I sing Etta James, Toni Braxton, Evanescence, and Christina Aguilera sometimes. My fav song to do is At Last by Etta. I have fans! haha

Christina Aguilera hey wow you must have a powerful voice she does alot of shout singing! I only know one Evanescence song ie on the video she hanging from the side of a building singing her herself halfway off it lol, like that one though.
Karaoke is going strong with us younguns which is a comfort :smt023

 

It's a really rough recording, and nowhere near perfect. I seem to do better when I'm actually at the bar with a real mic. *L*

I drank too much last night. My voice is all strained today -_- ah well! Good enough. Now if I can find my damn Killing Me Softly instrumental I'll be happy. I've been wanting to record that one for a while

Thanks, though really it's much better usually. I had to record like 4 times and still wasn't happy with all the mistakes I made (perfectionist! >.<). But thanks!

 

You know what, that was pretty good and that is not an easy one to sing at all!, i personally havent attempted unfaithful quite a few notes i cant hit on that one.
I liked your voice it reminds me off someone but i cant bring them to mind at moment.
Ps you really know how to do all this high tech gadget stuff im just feeling my way when im better at IT i shall attempt something like that.

I love technology, but this wasn't high tech at all, really. It's just a simple little program and a pair of headphones I used for a mic. I tried to adjust the EQ and add in a reverb to make it sound better, but the quality is still atrocious because with shoddy equipment it's hard to do much.

If myspace ever let's you on the karaoke page you should check out my renditon of Etta James' At Last. It's by far my favorite, so I'm better at it than all the other songs I sing. Plus because I hadn't fucked up my voice prior to recording it *L*

It doesn't help that I think I strained my voice earlier, cause I was trying to record My Immortal by Evanescence. It's always hit or miss with that one. I can hit the notes sometimes, sometimes I can't, and if I don't hit em just right while singing it I strain my voice. It's right there at the top of my range, so it's hard to manage sometimes. It usually gets me drinks at the bar, though! *L* So that's something at least!

 

ChosenOne makes fun of the way I talk all the time on the phone! I have that southern drawl where I change all my "I"s to "ah". So if I say "right" it sounds like "rahght" instead, and if he hears me do it (sometimes I try a little harder to pronounce the i's, sometimes I don't care) he'll be like "What was that?" and I'll repeat it, and he'll say it again, and then laugh at me! :smt021

 

Im a smoker and if im going singing i tend to lay off the fags for the day, i know how you feel with the sometimes hit it sometimes cant thing, sometimes i can do Fever perfect then i have a dash at it again all of a sudden its a train wreck and animals are covering there ears.

I find i can sing male covers better than women covers i dont know why ( and might i add that i do still sound like a girl when i do this) but its always easier to sing a guys song. Maybe im just weird i dont know ?

But you must definitely be doing something right if its buying you drinks lol
