That's a lie, Chris please share with the forum the number of times you've been to Russia so we can determine if your statements have merit or if they are coming from someone who was told by someone else; from that person who read it or heard it from some where but have never been there.

Have blacks been beaten there, yes there's no denying that. I read that, I heard about that but this does not mean the moment you walk out the door you're going to get bludgeoned to death? You need use your brain and be careful where you travel anywhere.

I repeat I have been there several times and have never had an issue and never felt threatened and yes the militia is everywhere shaking folks (Russians & tourists) down to make sure their passports are in order.

 

This whole is Russia safe for Black peeps debate reminds me that many moons ago, Harlem in NYC (when it was nearly all-Black), was considered unsafe for whites. Well, it's been proven time and time again that whites won't be killed the minute they step into Harlem. Yeah, shit happens, but it doesn't mean that just because you're white rollin' thru Harlem...you're gonna get killed.

BTW, 10 years ago, a female friend of mine from Australia, stayed with a brotha who lived in Harlem. She would walk around day & night, and never had any problem.

once you realize that you can be beat up, shot up, hit up, and/or chopped up just about anywhere, at any time, your fear of traveling goes away. Violent acts happen all the time and are very dependent on where you are and at what time you were there and who was around. Some people had good experiences all over the world...some people had bad ones...

Just because one area of russia has men that like to chop up black dudes doesn't mean that the other area does too. There are some places here in the states that I wouldn't visit, like alabama...but I've talked to black people that had good experiences there and still travel there to see family and get in touch with their roots.

I wouldn't be caught dead there tho, for fear that I would be dragged through a street attached to the back of a pickup truck.

Yes, there are those stupid skinheads, but they re especially active at the time of Hitler 's birthday. They all come to one city and start killing...the last year it was my city turn...it was horrible! but I wanna notice that they didnt kill any black person, they killed russians who were dressed american style or rap style etc...They killed one of my known guy, he was 17 . but many many black ppl live in Moscow and they re fine! just dont go to the outskirts of moscow at late night by urself...thats it! I m pretty sure, u gonna be fine! its up to u, anyway...but I dont think its really dangerous!

I know its off the subject but St.Louis is more segregated than Most places in th esouth. If you go to south county and the next county over, the KKK adopted a 1 mile stretch of highway. You have to use common sense when you travel outside the us.
