My wife and I will be going to President elect Barack H. Obama's inauguration in Washington D.C. on January 20th, 2009. It will be the most thrilling experience for us to celebrate a truly historic moment in history. After that event we will go to the other end of the Mall to where another site held an event some 40 years ago where Dr. King stood and gave that "I Have a Dream Speech" to celebrate his birthday on the 21 January 09, the day after President Obama takes office. My god are we living in an interesting time.

Contact your local congressperson or senator.

I attended Clinton's inauguration and I'm hoping I'll be able to attend Obama's. I knew it would be difficult to get tickets so I started hinting around to my friends in high places a couple of weeks ago. If I can't score inauguration tickets, I'm sure there will be other events to attend. But the one thing I don't look forward to is getting through all of the security.

You guys should bring your tux and ball gown. We have gone to inauguaral balls before, and you can crash one after the other if you want. Each state usually hosts one up and down Penn ave and K street

I should hope that was some time ago, and security is better now.

My wife and I want to go but it seems our lodging situation isn't going to work out. Way too expensive. Maybe we'll just have an inauguration party right here in Philly.
