It gets better as it goes along, though it takes on a different tone after a while. The Bunny/Kitty relationship causes problems in the community in Step 2, and as the series progresses things star getting violent because most of the population says it's evil for them to mix. I highly recommend watching all four. They're great.

Step 3 - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/442805 Things start getting more uncomfortable for the blooming "interracial" relationship. Step 4 - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/456643 Social pressures begin to rise, as more and more people become open with their dislike of "kitty-bunny" relationships. It's a really nice little series. The artist is still working on the final installation, Step 5, but I don't know when it'll be finished. There've been large gaps between the others, so it could be years.
