I'm one of those people that has to have everything in its place before I can fall asleep at night...and it drives me nuts to be dating someone who's a slob. Semi-slob I can deal with to some extent. But PLEASE pick the boxer briefs up off the bathroom floor when you're done taking a shower. So that's the question...are you, or aren't you a neat freak? And do you care if your lady is or isn't?

My place is picked up, and things are where they belong...but...I dont stress if your dirty clothes are on the floor for the night...just dont expect me to go behind you and pick them up.

I'm a neat freak. My car is clean, my desk at work is clean, my house is clean. I can deal with a little mess and a guy who doesn't always pick up after himself right away. However, he still HAS to be able to pick up after himself at some point, because I'm not going to do it for him....

...Oh, who am I kidding? My ex was a slob and it drove me nuts to I constantly picked up after him and hated every minute.

I just can't find myself another slob. :D

My ex-husband was a slob and I hated it. I like some sort of order in the house. I'm not a neat freak though.

Co-sign. Some sort of order is a blessing to what I had to go through with my ex.

Not only am I a neat-freak, but I am also kind of a germophobe as well. I'm not really anal-retentive about it, but I absolutely MUST be with a woman who shares this value with me. I keep my house as neat and clean as my body (personal hygiene is also very important to me). I can't be with a slob under any circumstances and I hate bugs.

I haven't had to deal with roaches in my house since 1992 and that was only because of the slobs that lived upstairs from me. Once they moved out, it took months to get rid of those damn bugs. I'm even the type to walk around with a bottle of Purell, and I ALWAYS wash my hands in the restroom (it amazes me that many people don't).

    So am I a neat-freak? HELL YEAH!!!

I might as well be a black Felix Unger.

Personally I was a neat freak, for a long time, then I had kids. My ex was very neat when we got married, then he started slacking off.

I was driving myself nuts with the kids, so I had to slack up a bit, for my own sanity. I now live with my very sloppy 21 year old son. Who is scheduled to move out next month. I am absolutely looking forward to a very neat place after that.

I would like my man to be neat most of the time, but not to expect me to keep the house perfect either.

I've learned that most of the time the evening (after dinner) is not house keeping time, that's time for cuddling, and watching movies together, seeing friends or just hanging out with your man! Time to nurture him, give him a rub down or even take a nice soaking bath together.

    Somethings can just wait!

It's hard to stay a neat freak when you have kids. I've had to grudgingly let go of many things....but the first opportunity I have to clean up, I do!! :D

im definitely a neat freak myself the idea of going to bed when theres an untidy house can get me worrying about how much more untidy it will look in rays of sunshine at morning yeah i do find it harder being this way now ive got the kids but i find it very calming once the kids hav gone to bed. it helps work out the stress of a day at college and running round after kids. but maybe i take it a bit far sometimes as when my husband was still at home i remember he used to hide items of work clothing from me hed not properely worn and i remember pulling out cupboards and sniffing for deodorant smells when he went out and instantly load the washing machine. mind you i do fail miserably at keeping a car clean inside and out its always a bit off a skip even when it was new after driving off the renault forecourt i dont think i cleaned it 4 bout 3 months.
but i will say bugs are a definite no!no! anything that crawls or scuttles requires search and destroy mode or temporary relocation
