Why is it such a turn off when white girls "act black"?

or,"act urban",or whatever you want to call it.I know many black men who agree that white girls who have a black girls persona turn them off.

    I don't know. Maybe it's because they're being fake? :smt102

Anyone should be turned off by people who aren't acting like their true selves...

When they do that it feels like they are trying to get me to like them because that's what type of attitude I'm attracted too.

Standard answer: "But what if that was the way they were raised, I know a lot of white girls who were raised in the ghetto, bla bla bla..." in 5...4...3...2..

When people try to "act black", it's always some hoodrat/nigga stereotype. And hoodrats turn me off like a mufucka. First, the shit is lame, and they are obviously trying to be cool. Second, they are being hella fake, so fuck giving them the time.

Not all white girls that act that way are being fake. I've met some White girls in my time that were born and raised in such a way that that was just how they had always acted, talked, walked, dressed, etc.

It turns me off regardless, not just when its a White girl trying to act a certain way. I don't find "ghetto" sexy or cute or attractive. But if we're talking straight stereotypes here, I always tell White girls like that, "If I wanted a Black girl, I would be with one. You're not one so don't act like it." But, again, I think I only ever dated one White girl that acted that way but she was really, truly that person.

Im glad this topic came up because for some inexplicable reason, a lot of the white girls i've been coming into contact with have been acting this way. Around my area, many of these young white girls - most of whom are suburban born and bred - have clearly been watching too many rap videos because it shows. And it really annoys me.

Sometimes when i'm drivin by, they just stand by the sidewalk, yelling all kinds of crap and throwing up stupid ass hand signs. And its driving me up the wall, pardon the pun. I honestly don't like it when white people feel they need to "connect" with me beyond superficial contexts. Because for me, the free-flowing dialogue is as good a "connection" as can get. Why, then, do you think you must find some other ways to prove you can relate to me?

    Today Age...

Huh, I personally dont act like anything but myself....I wonder why it is so hard for many to do this....
Age is something I find has alot to do with it....I am also wondering if some really havent found who they are yet and weak minded to be themself....
I look at it this way....I want someone to accept me for me in the begining until the end of the relationship....I dont have to act anyway for someone to like me.....if thats the case then fuck them cuz I dont need them....
But as stated before some my have been brought up in lifestyle where that is all they know....
I would hope that a black man would be himself for me when I find one......:smt001

    The whole stereotypical attitude

is lame and ridiculous. The reason I love many white women, is because the attitude is calm and the demeanor is comforting and it makes me feel better than, the hoodrat, loud, obnoxious, and very pushy attitude that is suppose to come from the head swaying, eye rolling, finger waving, black women..

all black women do not do this, as not all white women, but this attitude is severelly over played.... An honestly being someone who has successfully came up outta the "hood", alot of the people there wish they could come up outta there also... So why project that lame ass attitude as if it is something to be proud of... it isnt....

I understand what you're getting at. I wouldn't date any girl, no matter what color, who's into the urban, hip-hop thing. I'm rock/metal all the way and a girl's taste in music is definitely a game-breaker for me

White women, to me, have a more suttle way of doing things. Even when my girlfriend gets mad at me, she doesn't yell and roll her eyes. She will just fold her arms in front of her and turn her head away from me. When I go to touch her, she will slap my hand away from her and tell me don't touch her.

Thats pretty much the extent of her when she gets mad. I don't like the ghetto attitude, even from black women. This is not saying all black women act that way.

I would want a white woman who does not have a ghetto mentality. I would want to date Buffy, Becky, Kimmy, etc...those who are being themselves not trying to ape what they see on BET. No fake bling ,no fake cornrows, etc...

Hey Life, where in Phoenix are u? I'm in Tempe. But I like my white ladies white, if ya get what I'm saying. I want to go with her and move all the way out...you know out in Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Chandler and Ahwatukee. Not some roach infested ghetto.

    wtf. Fake cornrows?

I -like- my cornrows and braids, damnit.

Just because I'm white doesn't mean I'm not allowed to braid my hair. I've been braiding my hair since I was a kid, I'm not going to stop now because it means I'm "trying to be black".

It also doesn't exclude me from having an attitude when I need to.

We all can't just be complacent little bitches who aren't going to sound off when we aren't happy. I accept that a lot of men seem to appreciate white girls who are calm, never bitch, and pretty much just accept everything as it comes to them, but we all aren't like that.

I've taken too much shit from people in my life to ever be "seen but not heard". If I've got a problem with something, I'm going to say it. If I'm mad, you'll know. I prefer to argue in a direct manner with as little yelling as possible, I don't like screaming at people nor do I appreciate being screamed at myself. But I'll censor myself for no one.

I am me. I know who the hell I am. I like hip hop music, I love Lil Wayne for some stupid reason, but I'm not going to deny myself music I like because other people think it's wrong because of my skin color. I also love Mozart, Eric Clapton, Etta James, The Beatles, Teddy Pendergrass, and Avenged Sevenfold.

Sure, there are some idiots out there who mimic things they see on tv because they think it's cool, but that's not everyone. Some people actually -do- know how to be true to themselves, and if that means getting cornrows then that means getting cornrows. It doesn't mean I'm going to save up my money and specifically seek out an apartment in the ghetto.

You know what I mean. Yeah there are people who like hip hop, wear braids, etc...and that's just who they are and that's fine, but there's always someone out there who wants to get that 'street cred', so they resort to acting a fool because they think that's cool. But again, I'm just talking about what I have seen. ;)
