Here are my picks for sunday's games Tennessee @ Baltimore Baltimore just can't score enough points to beat the Titans, even if they are at home. Kansas City @ Carolina Carolina is just a better team. Seriously. Chicago @ Detroit Believe it or not, the Lions whipped up on the Bears last year, and swept us in both games. We're looking for some pay back, and Matt Forte should have over a hundred yards rushing against their sorry excuse for a defense. Atlanta @ Green Bay If Aaron Rodgers isn't playing, then i'll take the Falcons. But because i think he is playing, i'll take the Packers. Indianapolis @ Houston I think the Colts are right around the part of the season, where they start to get a little healthier. I don't see them losing this game to the Texans. San Diego @ Miami hmmm.....Ronnie Brown ran for 5 touchdowns against the Patriots, and the Chargers have just as bad a defense. Knowing this, i should pick the Dolphins, but i just can't. They suck too bad for me to ever do that. Seattle @ NY Giants Plaxico Burress isn't playing in this game, and he will definitely be missed. He's Eli's favorite target. I don't feel particularly good about this, but i have to pick the Seahawks in the upset here. Washington @ Philadelphia The Redskins spanked the Cowgirls pretty good, but i don't see it continuing against the Eagles. Tampa Bay @ Denver Brian Griese is a fraud, and always has been. He'll throw a few more picks, and the Bucs will lose as expected. Buffalo @ Arizona I'm also picking the Bills to go down against the Cardinals. So that's two undefeated teams going down in the same day. Cincinnati @ Dallas hmmm....i have a great feeling that Cincinnati is about to be thoroughly spanked. New England @ San Francisco I like the Patriots in this game for some reason. I think Randy Moss and Laurence Maroney will have pretty big days. Pittsburgh @ Jacksonville The Steelers have no running game right now, and the Jags seem to have their number for whatever reason. I'm picking the Jags to win this game at home. Minnesota @ New Orleans The Vikings have no quarterback. They're not going anywhere until they get one. The Saints have a bad defense, but at least they can score some points.

WEEK VI Bears Colts Viks Saints Jets Bucs Skins Dolphins Denver The Dallas Contingent Eagels The Pack Chargers G'Men
Updated Scores Last weeks record: Malik: 44-17 Cris: 38-23 Bry: 38-23 Life: 32-29 Tony: 29-32 This weeks updated record: Malik: 52-23 Cris: 46-29 Bry: 46-29 Life: 36-39 Tony: 33-42 ***Note*** (Life and Tony missed picks again this past week, and i thought it was fair that they each settle for a 4-10 record for missing.)
My thoughts through 5 weeks. Hey Cris, it looks like Malik is kicking our butts man. We can't let him get away with this can we? lol. I know what my problem is. I'm misfiring on my upset picks. I picked the Cardinals to spank the Bills, but then i go ahead and shoot myself in the foot by taking the banged up Seahawks to beat the Champion Giants on the road. Hmmm....don't ask me what i was smoking when i made that selection lol. Anyway, i think it'll be fun if i write down 5 observations from each week of football. Observation 1: My Bears are for real. C'mon, of course i have to start off with an observation about my favorite team. Even though i like Rex Grossman, Kyle Orton is starting to play like a real NFL quarterback, and it's exciting to see. Devin Hester is also starting to come along as a wide receiver, and the defense is looking good. Man, i like our chances winning the division, and getting a first round bye in the playoffs. Observation 2: My rookie of the year so far is Matt Forte of the Chicago Bears. It's not just because he's on the Bears, but the guy is just awesome. He does everything. He reminds me of a younger Deuce McAllister. My rookie of the year runners up: Matt Ryan (QB-Falcons), Chris Johnson (RB-Titans), Desean Jackson (WR- Eagles), and Steve Slaton (RB- Texans). Observation 3: Reggie Bush is starting to look less and less like a bust. I still don't know if he can hack it as an everydown back ala Brian Westbrook, but he sure does have a place being the designated scat back/kick returner. He looks exceptional in that role, and almost impossible to stop. Observation 4: Is Eli better than Peyton now? Man, i never thought i'd see the day when this question was even legitimate. Eli is playing great football right now. I honestly don't know if he's better than Peyton, but if the Giants were to play the Colts in a head to head matchup, i would put my money down on Eli and the G-men. Observation 5: Super Bowl contenders as of right now: Chicago, Carolina, Tennessee, Buffalo, NY Giants, Dallas, Washington, Denver, and Pittsburgh. Before the season started, did anybody have these teams as being the Super Bowl favorites? I know i didn't lol.
Observation 4: Is Eli better than Peyton now? Man, i never thought i'd see the day when this question was even legitimate. Eli is playing great football right now. I honestly don't know if he's better than Peyton, but if the Giants were to play the Colts in a head to head matchup, i would put my money down on Eli and the G-me The answer is no. Eli is not a better QB (Not talking Queens Bridge) than Peyton. Peyton calls the plays of his team and has been doing so for years he maybe one of the smartest QB's in years. With that stated keep in mind a lot of the Colts recent struggles has happened because of injury. Eli though has become a franchise QB has his performance has been really good over the last 8-9 games
True. I don't really think Eli has eclipsed Peyton, but i definitely think the Giants have eclipsed the Colts, even when they're healthy. Man, just imagine if they still had Strahan and Umenyiora. That team would definitely repeat.
newcomer to the site and latecomer to this thread, but let me go on the record: The Redskins and the Giants are the class of the NFL right now! One of these teams wins it all IMO.
The Dallas Contingent, is a team you should have included in the Elites. Truth be told, as good as the G'men have been let's see how well they play as the season continues and their competition improves. Their second half teams are. Pitt, Dallas, Philly, B'more in that order. They take a slight breather with the Cards then they play, Skins, Philly, Dallas, Panthers. I see 2-3 losses in there maybe more...
Baltimore Ravens vs Indianapolis Colts Detroit Lions vs Minnesota Vikings Oakland Raiders vs New Orleans Saints Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Jets Chicago Bears vs Atlanta Falcons - sorry Bry (lol) Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers St Louis Rams vs Washington Redskins Miami Dolphins vs Houston Texans Jacksonville Jaguars vs Denver Broncos Philadelphia Eagles vs San Francisco 49ers Green Bay Packers vs Seattle Seahawks Dallas Cowboys vs Arizona Cardinals New England Patriots vs San Diego Chargers New York Giants vs Cleveland Browns
I felt this way too until Washington owned them at home. The NFC East is definitely one of the best group of teams so far.
I'm kinda busy this weekend, so i have to do my picks quickly. Hopefully i can jump a game or two over Cris, and then leap frog Malik in a week or two. Chicago over Atlanta Houston over Miami Indianapolis over Baltimore Minnesota over Detroit New Orleans over Oakland NY Jets over Cincinnati Tampa Bay over Carolina Washington over St. Louis Jacksonville over Denver Arizona over Dallas Philadelphia over San Francisco Green Bay over Seattle San Diego over New England NY Giants over Cleveland
Yeah, of course you can keep picking with us Life. You have a lot of catching up to do, but as long as you don't mind that, it's all good.
Well, look what happens when i finally hit on most of my upset picks! I leapfrogged Cris, and i'm coming for you next Malik. I want that top spot! Last Weeks Record: Malik: 52-23 Cris: 46-29 Bry: 46-29 Life: 36-39 This Weeks Record: Malik: 60-29 Bry: 57-32 Cris: 54-35 Life: 41-48 **Note** (Life, i gave you a 5-9 record for this week, because you weren't able to pick any games. If you start hitting on some of the upset picks, you'll be right back in the race.)
Week 6 Observations 1. Why am i not surpised that Pacman got suspended yet again? 2. The Cowboys were already overrated, but with Tony Romo out for a month, they might not make the playoffs. 3. The Bears are also overrated, and the Falcons are legit. 4. I should have never mentioned Eli and Peyton in the same sentence. Peyton is still light years ahead of Eli, and the Colts are starting to look pretty scary. 5. The Patriots will miss the playoffs. The Jets and Bills are both better than New England right now.
