Movies that make me cry regardless of how many times I've seen them:

    American History X
    Four Brothers (Cracker Jack :( :( :( )
    Shindler's List
Fuck, almost any war movie makes me cry, really. Saving Private Ryan, We Were Soldiers, Full Metal Jacket...and I really like war movies, so I guess I cry a lot!
And stupid sappy love movies with tragic endings make me bawl like a baby.
...but I laugh during horror flicks, so it makes it up!

The movies that "touch me" (and I don't mean "movies that make me touch me", either. different list), aside from the few I managed to think of, are generally in the "independant" category. I love indie flicks. And art flicks. There was this one at the Museum of Fine Arts here in Houston that got me real bad a few months ago. I believe it was called "Two Sisters" and essentially was an artistic biopic told in short clips and pictures of this woman's life, and I hurt so much for the things she'd been through.

I cry easier over a sad story about something that really happened than a fictional movie, but fuck..if a movie's got a sad moment in it chances are I'm sniffling at least. I'm a sap like that.

As for music...the list would probably be too large to type out here, but let's see if I can get my brain working enough to name a few at least.

    Broken Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright
    Angel by Sarah Maclachlan
    Changes by Tupac
A whole lot of NIN songs, like

    Zero-sum
"Shame on us. We knew from the start. May God have mercy on our dirty little hearts. Shame on us. For all we have done, and all we ever were, just zeros and ones"
    The Fragile
"She shines in a world full of ugliness. She matters when everything is meaningless. Fragile, she doesn't see her beauty. She tries to get away. Sometimes it's just that nothing seems worth saving...I can't watch her slip away"
    Something I Can Never Have
"I still recall the taste of your tears. Echoing your voice just like the ringing in my ears. My favorite dreams of you still wash ashore. Scraping through my head til I don't wanna sleep anymore"
    The Great Below
"Staring at the sea..will she come? Is there hope for me, after all is said and done? Anything at any price, all of this for you. All the spoils of a wasted life...all of this for you"
and God Given, Heresy, The Downward Spiral, Sin...about 90 percent of the songs Trent Reznor has composed touch me in someway, honestly. He's amazing.

    What else?
The bluegrass/gospel version of "I'll Fly Away", by Allison Krauss
    "Bombs Over Baghdad" by Outkast
"Imagine" by both A Perfect Circle and John Lennon
    "Hey Jude" by the Beatles
"Pet" and "The Noose" and "3 Libras" and "Judith" by A Perfect Circle
Oh, and "Passive" by A Perfect Circle, too
"Wish You Were Here" and "Hey You" by Pink Floyd
"A Woman's Worth" by Alicia Keys
    "Ohne Dich" by Rammstein
    "WTF" by Saul Williams
    "Pretty" by kidneythieves
    "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven
    "Fur Elise" by Mozart
"The Light that Blinds" Shadow's Fall
    "Bleeding Mascara" by Atreyu
    "Nymphetamine" by Cradle of Filth
"Guess Who Loves You More?" by Raheem DeVaughn
"Shoulda Let You Go" by Keyshia Cole
"Unbreak My Heart" by Toni Braxton
    "Wasted Time" by The Eagles
"Lost in the Crowd" by Shinedown
Pretty much anything by Stabbing Westward, though I can't hear most of their songs now because they all remind me of a terrible point in my life
    "Beautiful" by H.I.M.
"Angel Band" by The Stanley Brothers
    "Scars" by Stone Sour

ok ok I'mma stop. I like music, and the reason I like it is because it speaks to me. I'm touched by many, many songs. And, as I'm sure you can tell, I've got an insanely eclectic taste in music. This barely scratches the surface. There are many instrumentals whose names I don't know I didn't mention, and countless classical pieces I didn't mention.

Ah yes, Jarhead. I loved that movie! It always makes me think of the song BYOB by System of a Down

"Everybody's going to a party, have a real good time. Dancing in the desert, blowing up the sunshine!"

"This is my rifle! There are many like it, but this one is mine! Without me, my rifle is nothing! Without my rifle, I am nothing!"
