Those are all great questions. I can probably help you out here. I'll break it down by point in the next few posts so it's easier to read.

 

How easy it is to connect with someone depends on the kind of person you're looking to meet -- like any other dating site. As you can see, people come here for various reasons.

Some just want discussion and do not want anything to do with the personals or to meet anyone. If that is the case, then you can block your email and contact information in your forum profile by clicking "profile" at the top of this page.

If you don't mind someone contacting you through the forums, then you can opt to display your email and instant messenger contacts through your profile in the forums. However, that also means that anyone can come to this website and email you, spam you, or harass you, if you leave your email address or other contact information visible for all to see.

If you want people to be able to contact you directly without them having to pay, then the best thing to do would be to sign up a new email account with Yahoo, Google, Hotmail, AOL, etc. Then come here and sign up an account in the forums (and display your email address and other contact info). You can even post a thumbnail of yourself in your profile from the “avatar control panel.”

You can also create a personal ad in the personals section – WITH PHOTO – using the same screen name you’re using here in the forums. You can do all that for FREE.

From there, start participating in the discussions in the forums on various topics. If someone is browsing the site and likes the way you think, and wants to know more about you, they can browse for your ad in the personals for more information and then email you directly through the forums.

The only thing we discourage is posting a personal ad in the forums. All personal ads should be in the personals area and the forums should be used for discussion.

Meeting your soul mate may or may not happen here – same as any other dating site. Making friends with folks here by participating in the discussion is the easiest thing to do -- and free.

For one-on-one contact -- without having to go through everything above -- purchasing a membership and emailing someone through the personals is the easiest and fastest, if you're solely interested in dating.

 

That all depends on what you want to do and see on this site.

Whitewomenblackmen.com is divided into distinct areas. If you click on “Join Now” from the main menu, you can see which areas are FREE and which areas are for paying MEMBERS ONLY.

If you want to access adult content, respond to adult oriented ads, email people directly through the personals area, or host your own web site with us, then purchasing a paid membership is the only way to go.

If you want to make friends, participate in the forums, and explore interracial relationships, then the forums, chat, and resource areas are FREE to use. All you’ll need is a legitimate email account to register.

It really depends on your interests and what you want to do and accomplish here.

What makes this site unique from other dating sites, is that you know from the start that the white women here are interested in meeting (or talking to) black men, and the black men here are interested in meeting (or talking to) white women. Or are at least curious about interracial dating.

But let’s go back to talking about “value.” If you purchased a membership here and used everything this site has to offer, then it is definitely worth signing up for a paid membership.

To do everything we offer here (for a paid membership) on other websites, you’d have to purchase:

• A membership on a dating site.
• A membership on an adult website.
• A membership at a hosting company that hosts websites.

Here it’s $24.95 for the first month and $9.95 thereafter if you maintain your membership. Most sites will charge you that (or more) for doing just one of the above – and we plan on adding more. You’d be hard pressed to find web hosting alone for $9.95 per month, anywhere else.

 

That may be the impression that some have, but it’s not the case. About 13% of the ads (at this writing) are “adults only.” We allow folks to place adult ads here, and we do not censor what people say – when it comes to language, sexual content, or opinion – like they do on other sites.

It is an adult site in that we require everyone to be over 18 to participate. But you will find married folks and single folks; people looking for long term relationships, people looking for dating with no commitment, and people looking for hook-ups.

I just browsed through the first couple pages of the personals (both men and women) and the majority of the ads are single people interested in meeting single people.

What you see and read on this site is what people want to come here and talk about or say about themselves. The best way to see more of what you want to see is to participate, by joining the discussion, or placing a personal ad of your own.

The newer ads are displayed first. So, it’s more likely that you’ll get a response from someone who recently placed an ad, over someone who placed an ad many months ago.

I have friends who have ads in the personals, and I have an ad in there myself.

The biggest mistakes I see in the personal ads are; people who do not post photos with their ads, and people (mostly men) who sign up a paid membership and then cut and paste the same lame message to multiple women – and then wonder why they get no response back.
