Well im new here, and i figure i will respond the original topic here. Im 27 now, it started with me probably when i was aroung 23. My sister had a gf who was dating a black guy. Occasionaly they would come over, sometimes with friends. Never really hung out with black people much before. Going out with them from time to time, i met many black men. Long story short, developed a attraction to them you could say. Found myself for example in the malls, bars, etc, putting myself close to them, hoping they would start talking to me, sometimes it worked,lol.

Long story short, i did that at a club once, and met a guy. This guy though was aggresive, he took my flirting seriously. Wont get into details, but i went home with him that night. Since then, i have dated mostly black men. Ive come to love their physical features, looks: natuarlly athletic bodies for the most part, dark skin, masculine features, etc , etc. I find them more fun to be around than other types of men also, atleast i do. And its just not some fantasy being fullfilled. Every one ive dated, the excitement just stays high for me. Cant really explain it i guess. Well thats how it started for me, sure some of you know what im talking about, just hard to put in words.

 

I didn't understand anything else from this ENTIRE thread, due to the high-level banter going back and forth....

It's funny you mention this....

We've all seen the "wigger" type white girl who acts black and talks all "ghetto" and all that.

I actually dated one on and off for two years and we are still close friends and speak almost daily. She grew up around mostly blacks and most of her friends are black. Hip hop and R&B are her life and she talks very "ghetto", sometimes even making up her own new words or phrases (like Bay area rapper E-40). It's quite hilarious sometimes.

Anyway, when we first met I asked her if she ever dated a white guy before and she said no & that she finds them disgusting. Also once we were at the mall and were sitting on a bench and got up to go outside so she could smoke, then we walked back to our bench and two white girls had taken our seats and she goes "stupid white b!tches".

Also, she failed some courses one summer and had to attend summer school and a few days into it i asked her hows it going thus far and she goes I HATE IT! I asked why, and shes like "MAD WHITE PEOPLE YO". Also, sometimes during our conversations I will say something and she will randomly pause and be like, Yo you sound mad white when you say dat shit" or something.

I definately had to become more conscious of how "White" I sound when Im with her. I had to talk more "black" and it became frustrating and one of the many many reasons it didnt work out between me and her. I just found it really annoying and ironic more than anything that here I am with a white girl trying to ACT SUPER BLACK, when the very reason I began dating white girls was because I hated having to act "blacker" than I really want to in order to impress a black girl and have her not call me "white washed" or whatever. The reason I love white girls is i can be myself around them yet with her, I had to act as if i was with a black girl so it was defeating the purpose.



Bottom line: Do I think she has self hate? I dunno. Maybe.

You claim any person who soley dates outside their race hates themself and their race. I dont agree. I dont hate being black but i date only white girls. My ex on the other hand, probably does have some self hate issues (or "white guilt issues" or "WHITE IS CORNY, BLACK IS COOL" brainwashing) because she not only refuses to date white guys, but even be friends with white people. If you spoke to her on the phone you'd think she was black from how she talks. She is IN LOVE with Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana. She does her hair and nails like your typical black girl.


It's obviously not her fault, she grew up in a very violent, poor, black neighborhood and this is what she knows, it's all she knows. It's who she is. She isn't posing or pretending. She's just been raised to feel that being black, tough, ghetto, gangster, and angry is the WAY TO BE, and despite her being arguably one of THE most beautiful white girl I've EVER seen (plus bisexual and just really fun to hang with) it would never work. Many of the things i refuse to date black girls for, she has in her personality and lifestyle and I just couldn't deal with it anymore.

 

I prefer white women because my mom is white but because also the same characteristics that make black men more masculine make black women less feminine looking. White women are neutral looking and that's a soft appeal.

It may be funny. I am not even sure my mom being white is the reason I like white women but it could be a factor. obviously that would be a problem for a site like this if you had to have a white mom to develop the yen for that look. Maybe in my case it just reinforces it?

My opinion might hold as a theory that the same characteristics that make black men appealing to white women do not do the same between black women and white men.

I didnt mean to say that black women looked manly, just strong or extreme. I used the strong versus neutral imagery because women like strong men but men like neutral looking women. And whether you have friends who are both black and beautiful or not, most black women's looks (most non white women's looks) cannot be described as neutral.

It was a generalization that grew out of my subjective likes and dislikes but I do notice here that it is mostly white women dating black men and not the reverse.
