Simple reason why: IR relationships are fetish & taboo to the majority of society sadly. They don't view or treat it as simply normal relationships or interactions. So people will automatically lean into all the negative fetishes & stereotypes when they engage in anything to do with IR relationships on any level. We have individuals here who do that and then are confused at why they are "hated on/disliked" by the more serious minded IR focused people here.

Yea, i think that unfortunately you're right... the crazy thing is that you really don't notice this in real life but I guess people show their true colors in the anonymity of the internet

Oh, you notice it in real life but you actively don't/won't engage with it when you see it. The internet unfortunately just provides a platform for individuals who engage in all kinds of ignorance to display it and pretend that whatever ignorance they subscribe to is normal.

I've been with a black man for 10 years now and honestly I haven't really encountered any situations where such things were really noticeable... I've caught some stares/double takes etc but nothing crazy... also a few white women asking me all sorts of questions about what its like to be with a black man and talking about it like its something crazy extraordinary or exciting but thats is few and far in between... and that has been it. I guess people just behave differently online

    This.

Online people will say & do all the untoward things that they are afraid to say or do IRL. They can spin the narrative that they were just being curious or what they said/ did wasn't negative when they get backlash. They become the "victim" and you become the "bully" for calling them on their bullshit.
