Have you ever been fetishized or felt like you were being fetishized by a black man or white woman?

It gets no safer than this.

These young ladies seem to just be silly young people. I say let them have fun, even if it feels pretty cringy to watch. As a guy without 'swag', I don't think these women are as attracted to black men as they are to mass media conceptions of what black men are, do, etc.

It depends on what you mean by "direct conversation" and what you're looking to get out of it.

Private messaging is not an option in the Forums at this time, and using the forum threads to directly question women here to see if they're interested in the "arrangement" you posted about, then no. If you're looking for either of those things, use the Personals.

Otherwise, as long as it doesn't violate site guidelines, converse away.

Don't be. Clearly you have inspired the guy to new heights of bravery and boldness in coming on to you.

Yeah this woman on our first date told me she was addicted to athletic blackmen like me and couldn't control herself around them. Really weirded me out.

I've never fetishized (feel like I have a speech impediment saying that word lol) but I supposed I have craved.

I don't know how I'd feel about the use of the word 'addicted'. Sounds like she just holes up in her bedroom in the bed all day waiting for service.

More of the sort of thing we’re trying to avoid…

Sadly, avoiding them is damn near impossible around here. They're pests like the roaches that you'd expect to inhabit the type of cheesy motels they're probably using for those "no string's motel hookups" they're looking for. Would it be too cruel to treat them as such...stomp on them when we see them, and periodically fumigate the site when the infestation gets out of hand?

On another note, am I the only one who gets annoyed when idiots use apostrophes to make words plural? It irks the hell out of me when people do that. lol

LOL! You are definitely not the only one. I get pissed at myself whenever I slip and send one while using voice text. Bugs the hell out of me. That, and the constant 'you're' for 'your' and 'they're' or 'there' for 'their'. Careful there, Tam. You're inner writer is showing!

As for the roaches, spray, set traps, fumigate, whatever it takes!

Amen! I get mad at myself when I slip and send a goof as well. (Ouch—reading your 'you're' was painful, Mr. Smarty-pants.) Yep, either my inner writer or I was a grumpy old English teacher in a former life. :D Agreed! Those make me crazy, too! I especially can't stand the use of 'of' in place of 'have' or the ever handy 've after would/could/should. Those people should've learned about contractions in elementary school, but apparently they were absent when that was taught and are going by how it sounds to them. The dummies who do that make me want to yell at them. lol I suppose calling them dummies is a bit harsh, but anyone who does it is not exactly a smart cookie. :p

Maybe we need to start issuing folks a can of anti-fetishizer Raid and a pair of roach stompers, so everyone can do their part. lol

I can’t say for sure if I’ve been fetishized or not but I do know I would never fetishize a black man, I find it to be so rude and disrespectful

Black men are men, first and foremost.

Interesting topic. I have been before for sure and usually it’s pretty obvious when that’s the case so I move accordingly. Thankfully it’s few and far between but always unfortunate when it happens.

I’m sorry that happens to you, it is so unbelievably rude in my opinion

Thank you. It 100% is and is a turn off for any self respecting man. I have also seen the times the roles have been reversed and am equally disgusted. Just playing into all kinds of stereotypes unfortunately.

I totally agree. While I think I may have been fetishized before I've just chosen to keep moving and ignore it. I suspect in the other direction, for black men to be fetishized, is far more insulting for many reasons. Anyway, again, I am sorry for those who have faced it.

That’s honestly the best thing to do. Usually after awhile they’ll get the hint and stop/move on. At least has been the case for me.

For sure, that is definitely the best thing to do in most cases.
