Obama Receives INCREASED Secret Service Protection

It would be horrible if something happened to Obama. However, he is the president elect (in an undisputed election) and no one can undo that. That battle has already been won.

What I do worry about is an attempt to kill his agenda, which I think is going on right now. As it is, his health care plan and other programs have been pushed to the back burner out of necessity.

If Obama is assassinated at this point he'll go down in history like JFK. A mythic figure with all kinds of places and things named in his honor. And a belief that things would have been better if he had lived. It would be easier for women and minorities to gain higher office.

The only way they can win is if Obama is alive and healthy in 2012 with high unemployment, a crappy economy, the country still at war, and most of his agenda in shambles. Then the racists and bigots will say, "I told you so!" and it will be even tougher for the next minority who runs for president.
