First, how about some spoiler tags? Lol Second, I'm 2 episodes into this season. Thanks for saving me from watching the rest lol
That's why i'm glad I didn't waste my time. Don't dip your toe in the water if you not going to get in.
I completely get you. Spoiler As soon as the husband survived the car bomb, I figured the wwbm relationship was done for. He even got to have sex with another woman last season lol.
LOL, I definitely questioned you/called you out multiple times on your obsession with the Dixon-Ivy 'ship. I never understood why you put a non-endgame level 'ship on such a pedestal. Dixon-Ivy was just another major 'ship on the "90210". Even though Dixon-Adrianna was probably my favorite 'ship on the show, in hindsight I can admit that that Dixon-Silver was Dixon's most endgame-level 'ship.
You did indeed lol as I understand. Erin Silver for season one of "90210" was the best love Dixon Wilson had ever known. But where was the love . . . or even respect when she was banging all his boys?!? Ivy has a love that seems platinum level compared to the plastic level love of Silver or Adrianna State Duncan who cheated on him repeatedly when he was injured on crutches. Ivy Sullivan never had any issues with loyalty and never cheated on anyone . . . rare to see a beautiful young, rich blonde fight for a black man's love for weeks and weeks after he broke up with her. She was practically a virginal angel compared to her contemporaries and she tried repeatedly to reunify with Dixon . . . with her basically brand new la la
2 episodes into "Cross" & I just have to say I didn't expect this show to basically be a black TV show. I assumed it demographics-wise the cast would be more like the Morgan Freeman Alex Cross films.
Watching the pilot episode of the Prime Video rendition of "Cruel Intentions" which seems to be a generational sequel to the 1999 theatrical release. They brought back Sean Patrick Thomas as a tenured Political Science professor who has just acquired a Teaching Assistant who could be his interracial love interest.
Yeah he pretty much confirmed it. https://screenrant.com/cruel-intentions-show-hank-cece-relationship-sean-patrick-thomas-response/ CeCe played by Sara Silva Cruel Intentions - Official Trailer | Prime Video Trailer seems meh to me. But interested in this love affair with Hank and CeCe.
I must confess that I'm confused by the parental guidelines of this series as 16+. In the first two episodes there has been sex and nudity. Why not just make it MA and have a heavyweight hit like "Fallout"?!? This is clearly distinguished as adult programming and adult material anyway. Don't try to be a CW show like "Gossip Girl" . . . GO HARD!! Thanks for posting the trailer @darkcurry. After all that Thanksgiving shopping for the ingredients I used for holiday cooking (my first Citrus Herb Turkey) . . . I got so drugged and drunk that I didn't even think to do so lol.
I think we all know better than to trust this show. The brother will probably end up cheated on, painted as abusive, pushed aside, or end up a registered sex offender. How often do shows like this do justice to these relationships or the Black men in them?
I was just wondering if there would be any interracial content whatsoever lol. Like you I'm not harboring any serious IR expectations. If things get spicy . . . I will continue to watch.
I don't like to prejudge. That is how I be missing out on things. But I rather go into it knowing that it will be a possibility. You always have to look for the signs that are always there to let you know rather the IR relationship and the black male character are authentic and sincere. Only way to know these things is to... watch! lol.
Some wwbm news from the series finale of Superman & Lois Spoiler: happy ending? Lana Lang and John Henry Irons not only both survived, but they ended up together. Lois officiated their ceremony at the Kent farm. Based on the timeline of the episode, they were together until either (a) at least one of them died or (b) for at least 30 years and were still together when Clark/Superman died.
THat is why I don't really go out of my way to watch shows that tease IR anymore. I kinda just select shows independent of that if it happens its a nice bonus.
