Alright, I waited 6 days it's time to talk about Spider-Man: No Way Home. In my opinion, it was the best Spider-Man movie since the OG Spider-Man 2 (2004) Spoiler Ok first off, I'm still a little salty that the freaking internet went out of their way to spoil this movie for me. (Youtube channels that put spoilers in their thumbnails should be permantly banned) Daredevil was the only "spoiler" that I wasn't sure of in advance. I heard rumblings but I thought they were fans speculation. Even though I was expecting the two previous Spider-Men in this movie, I was surprised how much screen time they had. I'm so glad they took the time to show the emotional toll being Spider-Man had on each of the Peter Parkers. I really liked the banter between the Peters, especially how freaked out the other two were when they found out Toby Maguires Peter had organic web shooters. I heard several people say that they thought Ned using magic was a plot hole, but it isn't really since Dr. Strange established that anyone can use magic. I'm kind of sad to see 'hot' Aunt May die, but it kind of gave Peter the dark tragic loss he needs to become a proper Spider-Man. I laughed at Electro thinking that his world's Spider-Man was black. I guess other heroes don't exist in the other two Spider-Man universes, judging by Tobey's question about the Avengers. I was really impressed with how much screen time each character got no one felt wasted. The only "plot hole" I can find is how quickly the three peters came up with cures for the villains. I really like the classic suit at the end. Speaking of the end, this movie feels like the end of one chapter but the start of a new one. Overall, it was a great movie, differently in my top 5 MCU films.
Spider, the new human character in Avatar 2, is a child adopted by parents Jake and Neytiri. Miles Socorro, also known as Spider, is played by Jack Champion. Born on Pandora's military base but too small to return to Earth, he is raised in the bioluminescent jungle by Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana). The new adventure promises plenty of deep dives into Pandora's oceans and all the epic combat you'd expect from a James Cameron film, as well as some genuine family drama – something recognizably human among all the fantastical worlds. Netflix's The Witcher Season 2 gets a new featurette revealing how CD Projekt Red's video games influenced the Wild Hunt on the show.
Hope this is wrong, but the rumor I’m hearing is after the Flashpoint movie, this will be the new Trinity going forward: “So the DC Trinity is basically the *Charlie's Angels* of DC with Michael Keaton Batman as bosley.” Though I wish I’d come up with it, that comment was from someone on FB. And, I completely agree.
I kind of doubt that this would be a viable idea. Birds of Prey flopped and WW84 didn't do well either, I have to think that the number crunchers at WB know that turning their comic book franchise into a female empowerment experiment will be financially risky.
My understanding is its more Shazam, Batgirl (Latina) and Supergirl (Latina) as the New Guard with Flash, Wonder Woman and Aquaman as the old Guard. With Old Man Bruce (Keaton) as Nick Fury and Black Canary has his Black Widow. And Wonder Woman is in flux since Gal and Patty will be done with their first 3 movies. I mean I am not shocked WB is incompetent so I saw this coming. But yes I expect this to not go well. I suppose I can understand not wanting to mess with the Matt Reeves version. So having two active Batman at the same time might be confusing. So I suppose I can see the desire to a do a Batgirl Beyond type thing... But DC just hates Superman lol what did Henry Cavill do to them? Piss in their coffee? We haven't even got a good superman adaptation in ages and they want to bench him? @Thump I mean WW is always female empowerment its kinda her character but I don't think that was the issue with WW84 if anything u could argue its the opposite. I mean really Diana is still hung up on Steve Trevor after 50+ years lol. There was also the plot, weak villains and a stupid macguffin lol. This is what happens when you give creators too much power and dont check them...not that I want the suits having all the power either but u need balance.
I wasn't talking about Wonder Woman specifically when I said female empowerment. I was talking about the idea for an all-female DC Trinity. The simple and unfortunate truth is that female-led action-adventure movies are a hard sell worldwide and they generally don't do that well at the box office. If DC wants to compete with Marvel, experimenting with a niche corner of the superhero genre is a risky proposition.
Ah my bad yeah seems Dumb to have this weird mismatch of ideas. As I said before I am somewhat sympathetic on the Batman front but the Supes choice is just dumb lol.

I love shows where actors of multiple races portray the same race/species in the shoe, i.e. Klingons, elves, etc. It's refreshing to see any world where the primary organizing principle isn't pigmentation or facial features.
