"Netflix has canceled its ambitious, widely hyped anime adaptation CowboyBebop after just one season" https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/cowboy-bebop-canceled-netflix-1235060256/
Might have to check out the game play videos for this when it comes out. I use to play the hell out of the old Dune : Battle for Arrakis game for PS1. That & the original Command & Conquer series.
Anime fans were always going to be super skeptical about this show so it needed to hit it's adaptation out of the park, but they made too many "questionable" changes. like........ Spoiler They never should have cast John Cho and that girl playing Faye, he's too old and her interpretation of Faye is all wrong. They shouldn't have changed Spike's name. They goofed with changing Faye into a lesbian, it was an unnecessary subplot that felt pandering to me. They turned the villain into a whiny little brat. Everything about Ed was just no.
Those are Netflix changes. Netflix used to give creative control and freedom to the artist now thye obviously don't.
You’d think being the 2nd biggest entertainment company in the world means they could afford to just let things play out with out nitpicking it.
