Valedictorian ditches speech to deliver abortion rights message

I saw that on the news last night. It's a tricky area, figuring out where to draw the line. For example how would you react if she had given the opposite message, praising the breakthrough of anti-abortion legislation?

On balance, I'd say we let students say whatever they want, short of excessive foul language or inciting violence. There will be many awful screeds from Left and Right (I promise you this is about to get nauseating). But I guess it beats the alternative.

The world sucks and there's no escape.

 

Co-sign, bruh. Plenty of folks trashing this story for the exact reasons you pointed on my Twitter feed. The media would totally ignore or even attack the chick it if a valedictorian chick went on a pro-life rant in a blue state.
