He was clearly guilty, and he had to be convicted or the whole country would have erupted.

Still got the sentencing to go. But a good step forward.

Derek Chauvin knowingly, voluntarily and deliberated knelt on George Floyd's neck for over 9 minutes and 27 seconds. He was so absolutely adamant about his decision to do so that he would not be persuaded to reassess nor relent . . . not by the elderly . . . not by the firefighters . . . not by the fourth graders!!! He committed the alleged offenses and it is good to see a timely and just verdict.

Chauvin was a certified police trainer who enjoyed an enhanced salary thanks to his extensive 19 year career. I believe his Depraved Heart murder of George Floyd will earn him the hammer at sentencing.

There is zero chance that he gets put in general population but if he did I’d bet dollars to donuts that he’d join a white gang for protection.

I'm still surprised that he was convicted. Next up: sentencing.

    Finally, some fucking justice.

I don't know about justice because George Floyd wasn't able to go home to his family. I think it was a shred of accountability if anything.

1 single shred after 500+ years of systemic oppression.

Sounds about right and totally on-brand for this country.

It will be the bare minimum, time served, slap on the wrist, country club prison bs that crooked-ass judge can think of, if at all. He laid the groundwork for a mistrial by bringing up Maxine Waters' remarks instead of concentrating on the case before him.

Nah, Chauvin is getting at least 20 years in prison. But I do think he'll be released early on good behavior.

It'll be easier to be on good behavior once he's locked up by himself for 23 hours a day.
