Hell, how about calling black athletes "sons of bitches" because they knelt during the national anthem? Or his complete embrace of the racist-ass birther lie? And then we have the GOP's current attempts to invalidate hundreds of thousands of absentee ballots from majority black places like Detroit, Philadelphia, and Atlanta because of "voter fraud" which none of his attorneys have yet to even come close to proving. It takes actual work to be this obtuse about Donald Trump. Like, you'd literally have to avoid what he says and does on a daily basis to try to rationalize yourself into believing that he isn't a sexist, bigoted piece of shit. But his followers will bury their heads in the sand until the suffocate if it means that they get to ignore the obvious and not admit to themselves the person that they breathlessly defend every chance they get.
I hope not given that the nation is facing the worst public health crisis in 100 years. Although one million people did not show up for this (more like 10,000), it is highly irresponsible to place your health at risk in the midst of a pandemic that has killed 250,000 Americans. The inept response of the current administration to this virus, among other self-inflicted wounds, is a huge reason why it will come to an end in January.
I thought he was racist long before he entered politics (and had no idea of his party of choice), and clearly so did many others. It's interesting that Trump (and some followers) think people started disliking him recently. This thing is far from new and many of us (especially New Yorkers) have long been convinced that he's a horrible person. As far as who endorses him... Oh, yes I think it's definitely telling when certain groups endorse a person. Even more telling when the endorsed person blows it off as a nothingburger until pressed on it.
The attempts to overturn the election in the courts have not met with success, so the current strategy is to invalidate black votes in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. Let us be clear that it was black voters in the urban centers of Milwaukee, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Atlanta who decided this election. It was won on the margins and black voters will be remembered as patriots who defeated Donald Trump and, once again, saved this stupid country from itself. I am proud of every black voter who casted a ballot to bring an end to this disgraceful presidency. The Republican members of the Board of Canvassers in Wayne County (MI) tried to pull some slick shit by blocking the certification of the (largely) black vote in Detroit. This strategy cannot be allowed to succeed. If you live in any of these states, keep an eye on every state body and official that is involved in certifying the vote. It is highly unlikely that this strategy will work but that doesn't mean that any of us should be taking our eyes off the ball. We have 60 days until this nightmare of an administration ends and should be prepared to defend our democratic franchise at all costs.
Yup, but they're pulling out all stops. There's no denying here that he wants to overturn the will of the voters at any coast. He's even meeting with the officials from Michigan today at the WH. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/20/politics/michigan-house-speaker-will-meet-trump/index.html
If I were a judge, I would be fed up and angry with Trump and his team, tell them the only fraud I see is with them, and once the election is certified by all states, and it is official for Biden, authorities and police should be sent to the white house to remove him in handcuffs, straight to jail, and barred from any political office again.
That's mainly one of the reasons why he & his enablers are doing what they are doing. Trump has more than one potential legal Sword of Damocles over his head and once he's out of office he's fair game for one or more falling on him. He'd better make damn sure he gets a far more competent legal team to represent him than what he currently has if that happens.
Agreed! He's totally wasting their time and resources with a bunch of frivolous lawsuits in his desperate attempt to stay in power.
No wonder Trump is so desperate to stay in power. Besides the legal charges coming for him, deutsche bank going to be coming for that money Trump owes them too.
It's definitely possible. It's always pouring out of his mouth, but he's so full of it there's bound to be an overflow.
