We'll, as usual the good side isn't advertised. The real protesters who were making their mark peacefully, who went directly to the source at the police station to call them out on their behavior and expose the killer amongst them.... Sadly.. It's been hijacked now by the out-of-State Antifa terrorists... So I thought this was fitting, because no way in hell do the local community want this chaos in their neighborhood... A police officer was separated from his colleagues and a group of local protesters gathered to form a barrier to protect him from harm <3 *BTW, Ferguson got the same coverage.. https://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/...side-of-the-protests-in-ferguson.25909/page-2
MTO posted the link yesterday on their site. TBH, he actually came off sweet and polite.. I only watched a couple of minutes of it when he turned up to the hotel and chatted with the others.
A sadly ironic if not strange coincidence is the fact that George and his killer worked security detail together for years at the El Nuevo Rodeo club in Minneapolis'. CntChauvin worked at the club for 17 years... Not sure how long George worked there, as he was a native of Houston and haf moved to Minneapolis for a new life.. But these two men WORKED together. Unbelievable!
This is horrible. How does one stay on the police force with 18 complaints. I know it is hard to get rid of people with government jobs but this guy should have been gone a while ago. It shows a lack of interest to get rid of F grade cops in this department. On George's side. He went to FSU. It is sad to see what happens to people when they don't opportunities to get a better life. These athletic programs don't take the time to put some of these athletes into majors that will pay. He then goes to that city which is know to be rough for minorities. I am not a fan of Houston but the cops are a lot more fair here than most cities. This would have never been the case for him, I suspect, in this city.
Agreed because going after the police department/municipality of course is the tax payers dime. Hit their wallets and something (positive) may start happening.
They do. My friend's son was killed (shot in the back while climbing out a window) by a cop and the cops were on paid leave for years. The family is suing and it's a very long messy process.
Hoping more Police Departments adopt their approach to policing... Camden Since Camden's police force disbanded and reformed in 2013 as a county agency, officers there have been hyper-focused on community policing. 'It's not strange to see them on walking beats or attending neighborhood block parties like the one Saturday night where two officers grilled up hamburgers and hot dogs. "We know that together we are stronger, we know that together, in the city of Camden, we can create a space where policing is focused on deescalation and dialogue,' Camden County Police Chief Joe Wysocki, said. *************** Marchers in Flint, Michigan, arrived at a police station where Genesee County Sheriff Christopher Swanson spoke candidly to the crowd and joined with them in solidarity shortly afterwards. 'The only reason we're here is to make sure that you got a voice, that's it!' Swanson told the demonstrators. He told the crowd he was ditching his riot helmet and baton to prove the commitment officers had to maintaining the peace. 'Don't think for a second that he represents who these cops are from all over the country and around this nation'... 'These cops love you! the sheriff exclaimed to the crowd as people chanted, 'Walk with us! Walk with us!'
I'd hope so as the reality is... For those LEOs who are truly interested in doing the right thing... The bad ones are making their job a lot harder, and I'm sure they realize this. In my opinion an opportunity for this to be a turning point does exist IF it's acted upon. One thing that should be a given for all is that letting things die down, and continuing as is does nothing but guarantee that we'll be here again in due time.
Did you guys see the truck trying to kill people? I didn't feel bad that they beat him. If you try to run me over, I'm not going to be Mr. Nice guy.
If the court system in America actually served justice, especially in holding police accountable for misdeeds. Sadly it doesn't. Must be nice living in a country where the justice system actually works the way it's suppose to.......
No offense, Sarah, but shut up. As usual, you just don't get it. You're always so quick with your uninformed opinions yet have no desire whatsoever to understand. Your snide comments based on your ignorance bring nothing of value to the conversation.
Not always but usually. The threat of going after their pensions not to mention making their unions just as complicit and responsible is a start. Someone must be held accountable for unacceptable behavior or dereliction of duty when they are theoretically sworn to protect and serve.
