Better yet wave that magic wand and just make life free.

We have been idiots for having actual markets all of this time.

It would in the parallel universe America where there aren't racist whites, hostile Republicans and a conservative-dominated SCOTUS to keep all those magical things from happening.

The public option was blocked by Joe Lieberman, another independent who fucked Democrats. This was way back in 2009, I don't blame you if you don't remember this.

13% of black men broke for Trump in 2016, maybe they were onto something.

It's just like when we were kids we all learned that if you just pretend like a problem doesn't exist then it just goes away.

    LOL

    Life lesson #1

Well those very things existed when FDR fought and got the New Deal. And no one is saying it would be easy. It may take years but despite how racist America is and has been black people get social security and Medicare. We take part in nearly all social safety nets so I don't get why it would be different under more progressive policies.
Also I get where you're going with Trump being better for black men so I'll say it for you. Depressing the immigrant market may possibly increase more opportunities for low skill workers who are American born ie black men. Also I'm willing to bet less policing against us because they're spending more energy on brown people. But you can keep out every single for of competition out but it won't stop the major issue of automation that's coming faster and faster. This administration has no plan or even an inclination to handle a bad economy. Sorry but I want adults with expertise to actually be in charge of things like the EPA abd HUD not guys rubbing their hands together as they deregulate everything so they can make money off the destruction of the country. They are stripping it all down for parts.

Bro believe me, I do hear you. But I look askance at the FDR analogy because blacks were largely shut out of those benefits to appease the South. Black men came home from the war just to push brooms and the like. Bernie in 2020 views distinct minority issues as a distraction. I can see some white bro with a PhD who's bartending waving the flag for socialist relief, but black men in particular have to look deeper IMO

Just pretend like something else happened and wait for the magic lol

Just believe that the past is subjective to your imagination.

I remember you telling him that twice already LOL

Bro if you are a lifelong political junkie who lived through LaRouche, Buchanan, Nader, Ron Paul and Occupy, you saw Bernie coming a mile away. The same exact far-left/libertarian freaks, lunatics, malcontents and anarchists were behind them too. The only difference is St. Bernie came around just in time for peak social media, disinformation, and white resentment of the 1st black president. Part of my disenchantment with the DNC is that they're supposed to be pros, paid to see this coming and shut this shit down, but they actually enable the fuckery and actively hand the party over to unelectable left-wing fascists who will never play in flyover states or the South. A child can see that. No more for me.

Repetition is how we learn :D

When this Bernie fever eventually crashes like the Hindenburg, I'm gonna be laughing my ass off. The cracks in the armor are starting already

I'll never get that good at it. After enjoying the comedy and knowing what I need to know to vote my mind just automatically moves on.

To much subjective fuckery would be poison to me but I'm glad there are people like you with common sense that follows it. Respect.

I wish blackmen had the same enthusiasm for group economics that they have for these white jesuses but I digress.

Even white criminals had enough sense to quit looking outside themselves and fighting one another and they built something much bigger nationally. And this was 1931 with no internet.

    Smh

Look i get your apprehension its the same anxiety that fuels candidates like Biden and Bloomberg hell even Pete. Why wish for more they're all corrupt this is the best its ever going to be so make the best out of this shit show. If I didn't see evidence that things could shift because of mass movements around the world I would probably hold the same belief. Get as much money as regulations will allow and fuck the rest.
I just think there is a public will to change things as there has been in the past. And as a pragmatic business person I follow micro market behaviors. If there was no chance for change why on earth would practical businessmen spend so much money suppress the vote and rig elections? Take that same millions and invest in eating up foreign competition to essentially control foreign markets. It would be the more practical play. If there was no chance to shift the fundamental way things are we wouldn't face opposition they would sit back let whoever wins win while they continue to pay their operatives.
I also think social media completely changed the game. Before dissent was treated as cooks and malcontents just screaming in the wind its a big reason why local media can't wrap their heads around a Bernie Sanders. The word socialist without any further analysis is suppose to stop a conversation dead in its tracks. The public knows giving free stuff is the beginning of destroying a perfectly functioning Republic... That only works for the rich while everyone else struggles.
They live in their ivory towers and can't phantom why anyone would want to change anything. They think it's enough to bark about identity politics while people go hungry and struggle to look for work.
Again as a pragmatist I want this engine to keep going so I can eventually make the money I want to make before retiring. We can't get there by extracting all the wealth from consumers to capital stake holders who do far more hoarding than wealth building. Keeping people healthy so they can work is practical. Giving them good wages and good paying jobs so they can then take this wealth and consume goods and services is practical. Educating them so they can innovate and people like me can back those innovations to get a piece of the pie is practical. Bowing to the interest of people with short sighted goals and bottomless greed isn't good for anyone.

It's different for us. We need to learn how to do things secretly and with frontmen because us organizing ALWAYS comes with insane fear and equally insane backlash.
Truthfully may be there are some practicing what you want like dude who paid for all that tuition at Morehouse. You invest quietly and build up that capital and keep your mouth shut until it's too late for "them" to really do anything about it. Unfortunately culturally at present we are too conspicuous with our wealth to do stuff like that.

If you say so. Just because I don't agree with your assessment of the world doesn't mean I don't have a practical approach.

Damn shame how black people lie to themselves.

I guess I'm an idealist because I don't have faith in the whitemans political system.

Freeblackmen are about 6 percent of the population. No common sense at all.
