Florida County Commissioner calls out cop who falsely arrested him before he was an elected official

Called him out during a ceremony where he was receiving an award. Cop arrested him because he was filming a crime scene, which is perfectly legal. The DA's office refused to prosecute after they saw the footage. No doubt this isn't the first time that cop brought someone in on a humble.

Police union is pissed and wants him out. Good on him for standing up to them though. Most politicians are scared of cops.

Yeah, Commissioner Gelin released the footage of the video that corroborated his version of events.

He's still being criticized for "grandstanding" by the local PD and their supporters though.
