SyFy's been skating by for the longest time due to gaining somewhat of a legit status due to the Battlestar Galactica reboot. Prior to that SyFy's biggest claim to fame was probably Farscape and that was produced by in Australia for a network there. And the only reason SyFy even fucked with it at all was due to the Jim Henson Company doing make-up & creature effects for the series.

And Krypton isn't even the first comic book related series they had in their line up this year that had both a following & acclaim going for it. Both Happy & Deadly Class got the axe. I never watched Happy, but there were a good deal of non nerd types at my work who did and they were beyond pissed that it was cancelled.

 

Disney is greedy. what were they offering in return for their suggestion of splitting the financing and revenue from Spiderman movies? Nothing?

 

I read that the negotiations are not quite over yet. Hopefully a deal can still be worked out because Spiderman:Far From Home was Sony's highest grossing movie ever, they would be damned fools not to renegotiate with Disney.

The sequels were less than desirable. And the wachowskis have been making bad films for a while now. So, we will see.

 

Warner Bros. Animation takes us behind the scenes of the new adult animated Harley Quinn series, which will premiere on DC Universe in October.

 

I'm guessing Syfy has a tighter budget than The CW, right? Most of The CW's genre shows are shot in Vancouver just like a lot of Syfy's shows are, but I haven't heard of budget cuts (or budget-related cancelations) of CW shows since after the strike-shortened 2007-2008 TV season.

 

Am I the only one that wants an Inception 2? Now that Bad boys 3 is in the making, we have everything else.

 

Either inception 2 or the inception porn. I would call it sinception.

 

That was a concept that could've been revisited and made into a trilogy as well. I loved the innovative concept. But folks are theorizing that Nolan's new flick coming out next year TENET is the sequel to INCEPTION.

I don't believe they have a tighter budget than The CW, otherwise they wouldn't have greenlit any of the big budget shows they put out like Battlestar Galactica or The Expanse in the first place. They want the reputation as a high quality sci-fi/fantasy/horror content channel but they don't want to put out the money needed to maintain that reputation. They do just enough with the shows they put out to give the illusion that they are grinding putting out & maintaining quality content.
