Im always amazed when far righters make this bogus claim, Obama called for unity time and time again, reached across the aisle time and time again only to be rebuffed. Bliss you cannot name ONE, just ONE instance where Obama was divisive. The only reason some far righters called Obama divisive was because he was a Black man who for the first time in history shed light on some events through a different lens and a different perspective, i.e. his comments on Trayvon.

 

As expected, Trump blames the media for the bomb mailings. Whenever his leadership is questioned, or lack thereof in that department, Chief Executive Trump, the agitator of the birther movement, makes himself the victim - and his devoted apologists nod their heads approvingly.

 

Vegas shooter? You must know more about him than all of us do, so you should contact the FBI because so far the full details of him and the shooting, thus far have been deflective, contradictive and elusive.

School shooters? They are teens not even old enough to vote nor registered to vote. What are you even talking about?

The latest HS shooter from FLA was shown several times wearing his Trump MAGA hat.

Dylan Roof, the kid who shot up a Black church in South Carolina, was a White supremacist, another base supporter of Donald Trump.

Agreed! It amazes me how these trump supporters act as if he simply showed up on the scene and everyone opposed simply started criticizing and hating him, when in fact... Trump himself started the this crap with any and everyone who dared to disagree and/or not see things his way. It's like someone having a bad, disruptive and totally unruly child, but when the teacher call it out... The parent ignores the problem (their child) and instead blames the teacher and everyone else. Ok, since you brought up his different "lens" perspective, let's examine just a few..

Examples..
- "White Americans cling to their bibles and guns"

- He called Republicans the "most potent recruitment tool" for ISIS

- He constantly downplayed radical Islamic terrorism. He loved to constantly blame guns in mass killings but no rhetoric when it was anti-American Muslims pulling the trigger.

- Saying from the jump that police "acted stupidly" for arresting Harvard Prof. Henry Louis Gates Jr. BEFORE availing himself to any of the facts. (which angered police) (He did walk back the statement, however)
and then had a 'Beer Summit" over it, which angered Black leaders)

Another Example:
When the rhetoric and murder was high against police officers, Obama was no help.
Example, when Micah Xavier Johnson ambushed and murdered FIVE innocent Dallas police officers, injured nine cops and two civilians at a BLM protest. He was angry over police shootings of black men and stated that he wanted to kill white people, especially white police officers. Obama commented.
“I think it’s very hard to untangle the motives of this shooter.”
THEN, at the slain Officers Memorial, Obama stated: “if you’re black, you’re more likely to be pulled over or searched or arrested; more likely to get longer sentences; more likely to get the death penalty for the same crime.”
Really? At a time he was needed to help heal, he delivers a divisive opinion.
( he also lied and said at their memorial it was easier to buy a Glock than a book.)

Another example...right after the Ferguson Riots over Brown's death, and after a Ferguson cop was ambushed and shot, he sopke at a Congressional Black Caucus dinner amd blamed police for black community mistrust, and said that Black people are victims and he also stated that “most Americans” think America is racist.
Could he not have dropped the rhetoric and try to unite Americans at that much needed time?

- At an Easter speech, he questioned Christians, then slickly said "but that's for another day" deliberately ignoring the mass slaughter of Christian University students in Kenya just days before.

- In his '95 memoir book, heavily promoted by him during his Presidency, he had made up a White girlfriend he claimed he broke up with over race issues.

Furthermore, he was a violent and menacing teen that was treated with kid gloves because of the Obama Administration's P.R.O.M.I.S.E Policy (part of "the high school to prison reform".) There was so many red flags from this teen and he was able to skate by because he was not allowed to be criminally targeted or touched by law enforcement since PROMISE was being employed in his school district.

Your third claim is BOGUS, I will let the Presidents works speak for themselves, spoken at a town hall meeting on CNN...

Your fourth claim is incomplete, you leave out that Obama only said that the cambridge police acted stupidly, when they arrested Professor Gates AFTER he already showed his ID proving that he lived there.

Your Sixth claim is incomplete... As far as Sharpton we actually agree that he has a checkered past, but I disagree that he is a "race baiter" that is a loaded term used by the far righters to try to discredit Sharpton and others when they do speak up and protest valid injustices.

Obama didn't hold political rallies once a month AFTER he won the election to incite his base to hate Republicans. What Trump has done to split this country apart is unprecedented, and exceeds what any Democratic or Republican politician has ever done.

Barack was only 'divisive' because a subset of the American public couldn't stand to see his face on TV and deal with the fact he was POTUS.
