Let's hope they keep Roseanne out of show business for good this time. Every few years she came back like herpes. They tried everything, talk show, reality show, phony run for POTUS. Back to the nut farm for you, Rosie
Well you gotta remember that originally Roseanne was the anti-Cosby Show, the flip side to a professional, upscale black family
I was never a fan, while I recognize that it was one of the first African American sitcoms on TV and was groundbreaking in many ways, my opinion of the show closely mirrored why John Amos left.... "In an interview with the American Archive of Television, Amos discussed why he received the boot from the show: “I felt that with two other younger children, one of whom aspired to become a Supreme Court justice—that would be Ralph Carter, or Michael—and the other, BernNadette Stanis … she aspired to become a surgeon. And the differences I had with the producers of the show … I felt too much emphasis was being put on J.J. and his chicken hat and saying ‘dy-no-mite’ every third page, when just as much emphasis and mileage could have been gotten out of my other two children … ,” Amos stated. So apparently, from Amos’ standpoint, there was too much shucking and jiving on the show, and he didn’t want to tolerate it any more. He also states that he “wasn’t the most diplomatic guy” back then and producers got tired of having their “lives threatened over jokes.”
If you had told me in the 90's that Bill Cosby was raping women left and right and Roseanne Barr was a racist, I wouldn't have believed it. FastForward to today ....
Question is, how common are these side effects and how common are the extreme cases of the side effects? I'm no expert on pharmaceuticals but if Ambien is causing people to say and especially do outrageous shit, would that not be a reason to pull the product? Either way, she gets no pass because she has a history of talking greasy.
Come on, dude. Who knew Susan Rice was Black?? And someone remind Roseanne that George Soros was 11 years old in 1941. Hard to believe he was a Nazi collaborator considering he is a survivor of Nazi occupation in Hungary. I'm sorry but Roseanne is a disgusting human being and she confirms it the more she tweets.
Seriously, clearly she did not do ANY fact checking on the whole Soros was a Nazi/collaborator nonsense before spreading that garbage....https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/george-soros-ss-nazi-germany/ Common sense is not so common it seems....
The first one, l doubt it. The second, nope for sure. I've seen the second one all day yesterday and the "Rice-balls" one earlier today. Roesanne is uncontrollable. The Soros one..scary how Chelsea is openly for his worldwide open borders agenda. Very scary.
I know that is a favorite narrative of the right when it comes to Soros, but I would be curious to hear your evidence that this is true of Soros, his foundation's site states that it has spent more than $1.6 billion on democratic development in Eastern Europe as its goal. Nothing about "open borders". He certainly does seem to be the favorite boogey man of the right, with lots of conspiracy theories thrown at him......http://www.businessinsider.com/how-...me-the-favorite-boogeyman-of-the-right-2017-5 https://www.axios.com/why-george-so...865-cfcf7e18-6a53-4dca-95c8-81d163615775.html
Yep. As a fan of John Amos's, I've been fully aware of his stances and on why he was fired.(he didn't leave). His addum that he was difficult to work with is paramount to his exit. Let's not forget. Furthermore, JJ's "shucking and jiving" brought much needed and undivided attention to the shows social issues. When shit got serious on that show, JJ fell back. He was the comic relief in a comedy show to counter the real issues touched on. The father was counter balance to JJ's buffoonery, so it balanced out. The Roesanne character by contrast, was counter to 'America's family' being run by a perfect June Cleaver, just as Cosby was counter to the perpetually poor and often angry James Evans'. (Not sure where the Jefferson's plays into all this). Thus, your condescending knock towards her viewers is not very fair just for relating to the show(s).
Who said they don't expect consequences? There's a difference between expecting them and accepting them. Criticizing shitty decisions is the hallmark of democracy. If they weren't willing to question power we wouldn't be having this conversation.
Of the two tweets...one said he said on video that he helped his uncle round up...? Going to try to see what this video is.. As for Open borders, he spoke of it at the EU... Soros pitched the idea of “an EU-led ‘Marshall Plan for Africa'” He also penned this, re-emphasizing his commitment to an open-borders Europe.. How to Save Europe... ..." I personally regarded the EU as the embodiment of the idea of the open society. It was a voluntary association of equal states that banded together and sacrificed part of their sovereignty for the common good. The idea of Europe as an open society continues to inspire me."
Again, agree to disagree, the show was certainly popular, and there are certainly many that would agree with my view.
