Wow..so the cops didn't do their usual bonehead play of acting as if one of their vehicles/property is more sacrosact than human life and run in to break heads or worse shoot up anyone? Guess cause white kids are frustrated and protesting gun violence now they aren't doing their normal shutdown tactics on black folks when they protest black deaths because they'll look like the hypocrites they are.

If you watch the video of the vigil turned protest near Clarks home late last night you will see cops end up retreating. If you continue to watch the video it will show the helicopter view of the shooting. There's all this talk about how he was running and smashing windows. They show him looking in a back window of an SUV that looks to be parked by his grand parents home. He wasn't running, he was walking and climbed the fence and walked along the top of it, which he routinely did to get into the house. It doesn't look like he has any type of "toolbar" (crowbar?).

I drove right past there just before dark last night. While some may want to be pushing that it's a "thug" type environment, we were all talking about how it's just a poor area for the most part. Lots of run down homes. Things happen there but shit I live about 6 miles away in a "nice suburb" and we've had 54 grow houses busted since September (mostly Asian people arrested for doing it) They have been renting/buying really nice large homes and using them for growing....tons of guns, cash, etc.

I do find it interesting as to which stations are hyping the minute or so on the cop car, and which are emphasizing that it was only a tiny part that a very few protesters were doing.

Ra - Honestly, I was rather surprised to watch some of it and see that the cops retreated and didn't do more. I will say that I know there are lots of protesters who have been out there who are of all different skin tones/ethnicity. The majority are black. But there are many others out there too. Those who typically would be saying stupid shit about how he deserved it or whatever have been unusually quiet.

All I've been able to find so far is that they were protesting for 8 hours down town and did block a bridge and a freeway entrance. Only one person was arrested and that was for vandalizing a window of a commuter bus. I haven't found anything about anyone being arrested or any further incident (other than jumping on and kicking the cop car) in S Sac last night.

I have a feeling they are going to continue to protest. Today is the March for Our Lives too.

They should continue to protest. It should be a mix of different ethnicities out protesting and the police shouldn't be bothering protesters unless they are clearly engaging in something that's going to being harm or death to others be they protesters, observers or police. The "Different Rules for Different People" bullshit needs to die. Hard.

Protests all this week. Today was a press conference with NAACP there: http://www.sacbee.com/news/local/article206914169.html

Matt Barnes is planning a March for Saturday. He and DeMarcus Cousins have offered to cover the funeral expenses (funeral is Thursday - Barnes will be there)

Today the City Council had a meeting, it was set up so that people would be given a forum to speak about the shooting. There were over 100 people who signed up to speak and the plan was they were going to be allowed to speak. The plan was to go to 11PM and then carry over tomorrow, if need be. People were given 5 minutes to speak each. There was an uproar that started when Stevante (Stephon's brother) came in, interrupted and started yelling about 20 mins into it. They ended up stopping the meeting with only a fraction of the people getting to speak when someone who was drunk assaulted an officer (I think outside the meeting). They are going to try again tomorrow afternoon. There were hundreds there, mostly outside, and they ended up going back over to the Golden 1 Center again and the doors were locked and most ticket holders couldn't get in. The Kings made a video with the Mavericks and played it before the game (started only a few mins late this time). For warm ups, they also wore shirts of "accountability" with #stephonclark on the back. More police were out at the center this time.

The AG has joined the investigation and it was announced the DOJ will oversee the investigation of the shooting. There will also be an independent autopsy, the family has said.

This is some footage of a kid pleading with the council: http://www.kcra.com/article/hundred...hooting-death-during-special-meeting/19612482 There are also a couple of other clips if you scroll down the page and also comments that were sent in to the reporter.

This is supposedly raw footage of Stevante's part of it all:

Sessions getting involved means that any "investigation" will be sabotaged from above. He's made it clear that he doesn't believe in police oversight.

It's not Sessions - it's the CA AG

Yah, BLM is calling for the cops to be arrested. I don't see that happening either.

So right now the protesters are blocking the streets from traffic downtown near the freeway, and the cops are blocking the entrance to the freeway (possibly because they have gone onto that freeway other days protesting).

They are working on a new plan to allow protesters to do their thing tomorrow night and still get the ticket holders in for the game tomorrow night. Cops are modifying their plan and actions for tomorrow. Kings organization is meeting with city leaders today to come up with a plan.

You best believe there are tons of off-duty cops posing as protesters...they are usually the most violent ones.

The police chief is saying there were assaults on ticket holders at the game yesterday and if they are able to identify the people they will be arrested.

Clark's cousin is asking that the protesters stop messing with the games and let the ticket holders go see their games, saying that non of them has anything to do with what's being protested.

They haven't said anything about the meeting today.

Right now they have moved over to block the freeway.

yah I don't really know. I recognize a lot of the protesters from groups I'm connected to. But the thing is, there is nothing they have showed on tape (other than the one drunk guy who hit the cop at City Hall) of any violence at all, and none has been reported until the Chief said it today. There has definitely been a lot of language and screaming, but even with that others within the groups are telling each other to calm it down because they want to be heard.

I think some of the protesters are trying to get Clarks brother to calm down some. I think they are feeling like he's causing them some issues on what could be some forward movement.

Al Sharpton is giving the Eulogy tomorrow.

Cops infiltrate peaceful protests ALL THE TIME....to make sure they don't remain peaceful.

    Google the term 'agent provocateur'
