Sexual Harassment/Assault Scandals

The feminist hordes and the misogynist assholes are the loudest voices right now, but there are still plenty of people who are able to be rational about the state of male-female relations. I think once they've fumigated the Oval Office when Trump gets sent packing, the reasonable people will start taking back the conversation from the idiots spewing divisive rhetoric.

I was just thinking about this with my daughter who works at weird hours because of what she does. Sometimes it can be a bit sketchy. She's trained in Martial Arts - but still. In her case, it is more of a situation of walking from her car in the parking lot into the business at a weird hour. She will call in and have a security guard come walk her in if needed. But of course they aren't going to walk someone 10 minutes away.

This isn't a new issue. I remember situations in my life where things have come up that were very uncomfortable. Most of us know that we have to have contingency plans for things in life.

My gut feeling from your anecdote was, where was your Humanity, she is still a human being who could have benefited from a ride late at night. If you're that paranoid about who gets in your car, why not invest $20-$40 in a dash-cam in which you explain to any passenger that it automatically turns on for insurance purposes. That way, you can still be the authentic you, with back-up protection. (you can even turn on your cell camera in your pocket).

I think you probably would have felt really good after taking her to the bus stop, versus feeling like a heel leaving her there to walk alone at night.

This has zero to do with Trump, this came about because of Liberal bigwig donor Harvey Weinstein. He was allowed to reign unabated by a legion of enablers, including Hillary and Obama, as long as he funded them.

Furthermore, Obama ordered policy directives to every College in the nation, that if they did not expel any male student that was accused of sexual misconduct, up to and including rape, by any female student, he would pull their Federal funding. No trial, no mediation..expulsion.

Real talk just unfortunate the loud mouths run shit. No wonder conservatives are always shouting everyone down. They realized long ago the loudest one wins.

 

You feel bad because you're a good dude. And, as bad as it sounds, you did the right thing. You have too much to lose over some potential "misunderstanding."

The only thing I would've done differently is I would've called an Uber or cab to her car. Then, let her know she has to plan better.

Maybe, you want to inform HR just in case. I don't know. I'm not in the corporate world.

But, don't beat yourself up over it. You did the right thing. Do you think it would be a good idea to let the woman know why you didn't offer her a ride? Or, could that cause more trouble?

 

Trump is an agent of chaos, his blatant misogynistic and racist rhetoric has emboldened racists and it has galvanized feminists and liberal extremists. Why else do you think both of the Women's marches that have happened since Trump took office have obliterated attendance records. Without the fire in their bellies caused by Trump, I doubt that the MeToo movement would have even been a thing.
