Your counter first link ireflects reports from a left-leaning, former British politician and now author blogger...How is she anything different than a US right leaning blogger you love to malign and dismiss?

Hypocrisy aside, let's give credence to her theoretical speculations and unnamed sources - in the excerpt below, she reports nothing much differently than l did in my post to you, barring the naming of Alfa Bank.

"Contrary to earlier reporting in the New York Times, which cited FBI sources as saying that the agency did not believe that the private server in Donald Trump’s Trump Tower which was connected to a Russian bankhad any nefarious purpose, the FBI’s counter-intelligence arm, sources say, re-drew an earlier FISA court request around possible financial and banking offenses related to the server. The first request, which, sources say, named Trump, was denied back in June, but the second was drawn more narrowly and was granted in October after evidence was presented of a server, possibly related to the Trump campaign, and its alleged links to two banks; SVB Bank and Russia’s Alfa Bank. While the Times story speaks of metadata, sources suggest that a FISA warrant was granted to look at the full content of emails and other related documents that may concern US persons."

Whats not surprising however, is your conspiracy theory of money laundering. You literally drew your accusation from an alleged Server tie to Alfa Bank reported from her, and parlayed it into Trump money laundering.

Having read the article as well as her original piece, nowhere is it even suggested Trump engaged in money laundering -- rather, all it presented was a real-estate tycoon attempting to procure business in another country, as well as sell his own NY residential properties. All it infers is that it bodes Trump to curry Russian biases.
Yours is a bloody huge leap.
Because if you examine Trump's overall attempts at securing hotels internationally and selling his spaces locally, you will find it's not just with Russia, but iChina, South Korea and the U.A,E/Dubai. Do we accuse laundering with these countries?

Oddly, not once did l hear you accuse Clinton of Foundation corruption when she procured greasy donations from these same countries in return for political favor.

Not sure where you have been the last decade, but rich oligarchs have been buying up U.S real-estate in record numbers for a while now.
You can thank a weak U.S economy for the fire-sales ( and weak USD) which allowed them to sweep house here( no pun).
    Thus your money-laundering is a.fake-'fact'.

John Oliver is very openly biased against Trump, that being said his analysis of the Clinton foundation was very balanced, starting at 8:57.

What in the world is the real United States?
Real Americans don't make those kinds of distinctions

No..but it didn't stop Obama ridiculing him...hmmm lol

'..During an October 2012 presidential debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, Obama ridiculed Romney over his concern about Russia as a “geo-political” threat.

Obama attempted to paint Romney as somehow out-of-touch with 21st century geo-politics, suggesting (ironically, as we now know) that al-Qaeda was a bigger threat than Russia.
“You said Russia. Not al-Qaeda. You said Russia,” Obama said regarding biggest threats. Then came this snarky blast:

"The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because…the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.”

Setting aside the fact that while Obama suggested that al-Qaeda was the number-one geo-political threat in the world, later claimed that the terrorist group had been “decimated” and was “on the run” only to learn that it is now stronger and controls more territory that at any time in its history, could this snide comment to Romney look any more foolish that it now does?

This is the second time in a week that former Republican candidates — ridiculed at the time for their foreign policy observations — have been proved right about Russia; Sarah Palin predicted in 2008 that under a weak Obama, Russia would be tempted to invade Ukraine."

Now, when Sarah calls it right..you should be thoroughly embarrassed.

Very true, Loki..and when that occurred, it also proved that Trump CAN bite the bullet and refresh towards his adversaries.

On a different note. Why do you think Steve Harvey was mocked, 'maligned, boycotted and accused of "coonery", by most of the BC for visiting with Trump, in relation to bettering the BC, yer the CEO's of Historically Black Universities meeting with him, were not?

It baffles me up to the point that l believe they chose to boycott Steve and not others, because they wouldn't dare the CEO's.

Do you have an opinion on this?

Deflection may work sometime but not when poorly executed.

Given that my brother works for a HBCU I was VERY pleasantly surprised to see Trump sign and executive order calling for $25 billion for infrastructure, college readiness, financial aid and other priorities. Under Obama’s administration, historically black colleges and universities received $4 billion over seven years, so such a marked increase would be a welcome sight. If this comes to fruition (it still must get approval from Congress).

It is worth noting that the executive order does not specify how much federal money the colleges should receive and that two-thirds of HBCU's schools are in red, or Republican-controlled, states, and that the colleges are heavily reliant on federal and state funding to survive.

So while this is potentially positive news, we should all watch closely, and hold politicians like Congressional Bipartisan HBCU Caucus, Rep. Alma Adams accountable to keep the heat on, she called the executive order a first step. “This action on HBCUs is not sufficient to hold up to promises made by this administration,”.

As usual the other side view this move with skepticism, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said if Trump was interested in helping HBCUs, he would increase spending on education instead of proposing cuts. She called his executive order “more empty symbolism.”

As far as Harvey, if memory serves, there were no clearly laid out objectives/programs as to how he would/could work with Trump's administration to improve things other than some general talk of improving inner city housing with Ben Carson. Thus many thought he was being used as pawn/token by Trump. The HBCU presidents had clear objectives and budget goals laid out in their meeting with Trump and others on the Hill.

Russia is and has always been a geopolitical threat since the end of WW2.

Just because Obama in a presidential debate said Russia wasn't our #1 threat doesn't mean they weren't on the list.
Romney talked about Russia in that 2012 debate like it was 1984 and we were on the verge of a nuclear war.
Anyway, after listening to the playground, back alley insults and personal attacks hurled by Trump at ALL of his political opponents during the previous election, I really find it hard to believe you feel BHO 'ridiculed' Mitt Romney with his 1980s foreign policy comment.

And should we have gone to war through NATO to prevent Russia from arming Ukrainian separatists and invading Ukraine??
It's not that BHO was weak on Russia, we just don't have any good military or foreign policy options when Putin decides to bigfoot around Eastern Europe.
BTW, Trump isn't going to kick Russia out of Ukraine either.

Thanks for your perpective. Interesting. Definitely a wait and see approach will bear out if it's the case.

A related side note on funding the Infrastructure..I recently listen to an interview where the money for ir might be obtained from.
    (Paraphrasing from memory.)..

There's several trillion dollars in un-collected taxes from U.S companies that are based in foreign countries. This is so because, after paying taxes to the country theyre based in, they have the option to defer their. U.S ttaxes to be paid at a later time, which most every Company exercises.
President Trump is looking to. remove that option along with lowering the tax penalty in order to encourage the mass amounts of tax dollars sitting in escrow, ..to come home, so to speak, and thus be re-circulated into the U.S Infrastructure budget.
(There might be a link on it which l can research later)

I don't care that he ridiculed Romney, I'm pointing out that he did. And he was proven wtong, if we are to believe Shummer, Pelosi and you.

Look, l know Russians and Ukranians. I've also read up on it and strictly from an objective petspective it appears, the Ukraine always was a part of Russia until the break up of the S.U.. We can certainly discuss this further when we (l) have more time if you like, because I have no dog in this fight, though I find it facinating.
I find Putin fascinating whilst dually repulsed by him.

You're so right. I don't see any rational person arguing that things were great before, but when this dude who's 45 jumped in... The hate rhetoric increased to insane levels. He and his followers complain about how he's treated and disliked. I have absolutely no sympathy for him as whatever ill feelings people have against him... He's directly responsible and simply bought upon himself. It's absolutely mindboggling how much his supporters are willing to ignore, as well as their naive thoughts that their lifesyles will now improve so much.

    More-so what kind of ties?

Are they nefarious like Clinton's were?
So far, she helped orchestrate the sale of 20% of our Uranium, helped reward their ally Iran billions in nuclear deal money and hostage ransom bills (along with Obama)..

Even your Bible, Snopes tried but failed to distance Hillary from the Uranium deal by effectively passing it off on to the President for final veto powers. As we know, the deal went through.

And Trump? Well, he sold the Ruskies some real Estate. Hmmm...
I'd say, be wary of all the shmoozing done by the Democrats over the past decade with Russia...its not going to stay hidden.
