Yep. Its called use of excessive force.
There are also social norms we follow. Their "you are invading my personal space and boundaries so expect a knockout" argument is subjective, and defined by circumstances.
Sorry guys, society and the law says you can't break someone's face into pieces just because they may have shoved or pushed you in a line, for example (especially in crowded NYC) . The courts will settle it every time if that's how you want to respond to volatile situations that may arise.
Its not a difficult concept to grasp.

I rather be judged by 12 than be carried by 6

Lol, you sound like a cop.

You know, if a woman does slap you, you could always file a police report. People file assault claims all the time. Most men don't respond with knuckle-sandwiches.
You and men like you are concerning because you are a powder keg.

What you also might fail to realize is how often some men will corner a woman or block her path and she will push him out the way and he sees that as a green light that she touched him so lets him crack her face and nose.

All that is being asked of you GL is to stop reacting with excessive force when it isn't warranted.
Im a woman and if a smaller woman railed on me but it didn't much harm me, even l'm not punching her in the face. I know my strength. I would never abuse my power. I would subdue her to a reasonable degree and call the cops. Please stop justifying the use of excessive force and let the law handle her.

You could but you also have to prove she hit you.

Also, you got people her saying not to hit back at all. So if I slapped her back like that scene above....the man is wrong.

I said over and over....you don't know how a person will react so if you are going to hit a person just be prepared for an ass whipping. You don't know what they might do.

You should not fuck with people like that. Hell, men may say this or that but in that moment.... You don't know what you are going to get.

Never say never. You hope you would act as certain way.

If you do that, I just imagine the cops are just gonna [IMG] at you. I can't imagine embarrassing myself & wasting my time going to the cops because a female slapped me. I would just have to hold the L.

Actually I just read up on reasonable force. If someone attacks me and I hit them back once like the dude in the video I'm well within my rights. That's self defense, if the other person ends up knocked out as a result that's on them not me. I have no knowledge of their tolerance that's on them and that's why you keep your hands to yourself.

I'm beginning to see a lot of you have never been in any physical confrontation in your lives. Lucky you.
Anyone who's even witnessed a fight understands how quickly South shit can go. Someone hitting you once most times doesn't stop there I don't care if it's male or female. Trying to turn the other cheek can leave your ass blind but hey at least you were the bigger person smh

Which dude are you talking about? The football player was charged and convicted with battery, so the state of Oklahoma did think his response was excessive.

Exactly. Like I keep saying don't start shit it won't be shit. You can scream excessive... Sure but why test it as raider said?

Why test a dude and then scream but I'm a woman

This!!! Exactly what I was alluding to some pages back. If you truly have to defend yourself... Of course that's the thing to do and hopefully it'll work out for you in the end. However, we know it's often a totally different animal if and when police gets involved. If I can walk away... it's a done deal as I stand to possibly loose alot more it it escalates and police are called.

What people here are saying don't hit back at all? All I've seen is people offering alternative options to a violent response when applicable, and justifying an appropriate physical response when necessary. But go ahead...show me these people saying don't ever hit back. I'll wait.

Exactly right. All reasonable people would agree that everyone should keep their hands to themselves, that is what is right and best for all. That being said, the only thing that matters in my opinion, is that from a legal perspective when a Black man hits a woman, especially a White woman, in our VERY imperfect society, and legal system, the Black man is immediately facing a BIG disadvantage in the eyes of the police and the court. I am not going to continue to try to convince anyone here that they should walk away from a smaller, weaker, woman who attacks them with non-lethal force, but you better have IRON CLAD proof that you did not respond with excessive force, did not instigate, and had no other choice to defend yourself, or be prepared to face serious legal consequences. Is any of this "fair" for the BM?. Hell no, but as I always say, the law does not equal justice and does not care about "fair".

    You . you said that!!!!

You said you taught your son to never hit a woman

You talked about people testing people

I have said be prepared for an ass whipping cause you don't know how people will react.

They were wrong for that according to the law he was well within his rights. He hit her back once to get her away from him. And you can tell this is totally biased on so many levels. If it were a guy the same size as that woman that case would have been thrown out

GL when I speak about my son being raised RIGHT, to never hurt a woman, I've also said that he can always defend himself to the extent necessary. Ivs said multiple times that no one needs to sit back and just take it, but you don't get to whoop ass cause some little girl hits you. Grow the fuck up little boy, you're an embarrassment to your age group

Smh it becomes clearer and clearer to me that those of us with means should leave. I didn't work my ass off my entire life to be a second class citizen with no basic human rights.

The courts got it wrong?!? You don't say!

Maybe that's a good reason to react with logic vs just hitting someone back.
