Translates to you're anti-American. Just like being pro-Black in America automatically translates into you're racist against Whites/hate America.

I have heard this more times than I can count over the past 8 days, especially from my own family, when I express my extreme concern over what this country is going through right now. Bookie, I believe you to be a strong, intelligent woman so I mean this as no disrespect to you personally, but your comment clearly shows the strength of our white privilege. We are afforded the opportunity to relax and "wait and see", my husband isn't afforded that same chance. My children aren't afforded that chance. While we "wait and see" if America's decision (& Trump's subsequent decisions) are going to blow up in our faces, every minority group is this country is at risk. Their safety is compromised while we take that wait and see approach. Trump validated every discriminatory-minded american and the potential domino affect of that is real-life, end of America as we know it, scary for me and my family. The wait and see approach isn't an option for African Americans or Mexicans or Muslims. They're literally targets, because so many American's wanted to "wait and see" if electing a known racist was the right decision.

OMG! You are soooo my hero. Many are saying we're crybabies and such while totally ignoring that this is incredibly alarming for minorities. Not at all a joke, especially when you have immigrant children fearful as well. This is truly sickening on so many levels as NO child should ever have to think about this. I just saw a FB meme with a message something like... You can be bitter or you can adjust and move forward. Obviously, life goes on and most of us will move on with it. However, in my opinion such a message is totally dismissive of the situation. We need more people like you.

Just to add to the praise here Raider, you disagreed with another poster while being respectful, insightful, and with eloquence. It's this kind of interaction, especially in the face of strong disagreement, that this site could use A LOT more of. Very well done.

This is about the fourth or fifth comment of yours that deserves some rep.

It is so refreshing to see someone here, who isn't a black man, who just fucking gets what so many people are feeling about the direction this country is headed in.

Years ago my business law professor told us that he can't teach us ethics, even though he covered the lesson. The point was that by the time you are an adult you have already made your decision to be ethical or not.

I think the same holds true for selfishness. A person who didn't learn to share toys as a kid, will never change.

Because his bad decisions won't touch her. This isn't a matter of opinion or taste. They voted for a know racist because they knew it's not their problem and don't give a fuck about the vulnerable amongst them. Gotta wonder why post on forum with black men if you hold us in such low regard.

The unknown possibilities of what Trump and his racially discriminating and questionable cabinet and the rest of the Republican Party sitting in their chairs within the ivory tower with the seemingly downfall of the Democratic Party is scary to say the very least.

The terrible accusations lashed about leading up to the election and now the lack of experience Trump has but is somehow in the most powerful position in the free world is shockingly and utterly dumbfounding.

One who is not a white man is not fitting and therefore at risk in some form or fashion of being objectified or harmed and in my eyes I just cannot begin to comprehend how in the world this has happened. I am afraid for my biracial kids, my son who is serving in the army who will be reporting to 82nd airborne and wil be fighting in the inevitable wars that will emerge because of a man who lacks common sense to effectively and carefully run a country, I worry about our vets who have served this country to include myself who have sacrificed so much and some our all, I worry about our minorities, our kids who have this clown they cannot possibly look up to.

This has to be a joke...

And yet millions of AMericans are hoping against hope that Trump turns out to be someone he isn't.

You sure as hell don't change your spots at 70 years old.
And now just today I heard Trump and his advisers want to create a national registry of ALL Muslims in the U.S. .:smt120

Trump has broached the subject of a national registry before but so far it seems he is talking about refugees, not all Muslims. Attempting to put ALL Muslims on a watch-list would be seen as the first step to internment camps, it seems Donald needs a history lesson as to why thats a VERY bad idea.

    http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...ld-trumps-comments-database-american-muslims/

"On ABC News’ This Week, host George Stephanopoulos asked Trump, "You did stir up a controversy with those comments over the database. Let's try to clear that up. Are you unequivocally now ruling out a database on all Muslims?"

"No, not at all," Trump responded. "I want a database for the refugees that -- if they come into the country. We have no idea who these people are. When the Syrian refugees are going to start pouring into this country, we don't know if they're ISIS, we don't know if it's a Trojan horse. And I definitely want a database and other checks and balances. We want to go with watchlists. We want to go with databases. And we have no choice."

Trump’s exchange with Stephanopoulos seems to be the clearest explanation of his position. No, he would not rule out a database on all Muslims. But for now, he wants a database for refugees."

The facts are refugees are ALREADY tracked and in databases before entering and after entering, and on average it takes 18 MONTHS to get through the vetting process.

    http://www.usnews.com/news/articles...ut-the-us-program-to-resettle-syrian-refugees

"Refugees are subject to Department of Homeland Security background checks before arriving in the U.S.

Refugees are subject to the strictest form of security screening of any class of traveler to the U.S. before they are allowed to enter, with extensive background, security and health checks. The resettlement process is run by the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services. DHS receives refugee referrals from the U.N. refugee agency, UNHCR, and then begins vetting candidates for resettlement. Specially trained DHS employees travel to the country where a candidate is residing to conduct in-depth interviews to ensure the individual meets the criteria as a refugee and does not pose a security risk to the U.S. The U.S. then investigates and verifies the claims made by an applicant for asylum.

"Unlike in Europe, Syrian refugees are not arriving via boat or land to the U.S., nor can they fly into the country without being approved for refugee status. That process frequently takes 18 months or more, meaning refugees are arriving in the U.S. at a very slow pace compared to the numbers by which they are arriving in Europe."

Like Loki posted and what has been readily reported..he said Refugees.

I'm curious..did you even read any of Wikileaks?

I googled it for you and here..

WikiLeaks: Hillary Clinton Said Jordan ‘Can’t Possibly Vet All Those Refugees’ from Syria; ‘Jihadists Are Coming in Along with Legitimate Refugees’

FYI..the header above is a Bannon quote?
    That's from a Breibart report.

Which they got from Hillary's mouth.

What I find concerning Bliss is that he is clearly unaware that there is already extensive vetting and that all refugees are already in a database and tracked both before and after arriving in the US. His comments that refugees are flooding in and nobody is tracking them is just flat out wrong on multiple levels. These kind of claims is the kind of whipping his base into a frenzy hysteria that he used to get elected with NO basis in fact.

He needs to no only be aware of but also understand the vetting process, if he has ideas how to improve the process we have in place, and how it will keep all citizens safer, great, lets hear them, but to go around calling for databases when they ALREADY exist is very troubling.
