On a related money note..l read the other day an interview with a billionaire who, seeing Hillary was losing, knew the stocks would dip and rebound (to the highest level in its history, btw), so he bought one billion shares - the maximum you can buy in one day apparently - (or it was a billion dollars in shares, not 100%), anyway, he sat back and waited. He is delirious with the outcome. Very impressive risk and gain.

I was going to sell my gold during the dip but the dollar rebounded too quickly so l wasn't able to.

 

Local jurisdictions are responsible for indicting and prosecuting bad cops, not the federal government.

Unless a cop shooting directly violate some form of federal law, that's not what the FBI does.

The DOJ can offer guidelines to locals, but if they choose not to follow them, that's our democracy.

You are tripping. Local districts like who?? That's like saying the police are supposed to police themselves.

I like Obama but lets be real. His Administration not Indicting criminal cops is a huge disappointment. Lynch didn't do her fucking job. She was a lifeguard that allowed people to drown. Stop denying reality. These Ivy league presidents are still essentially cut from the same cloth. That's why we needed a Bernie, Powell, or Wes Clark to lead.

 

These local DA's won't even investigate Cops when they shoot a BM. Practically speaking, there is no way you could ever expect a local district to do anything.

 

What federal charges, other than some kind of civil rights violation or hate crime, can the DOJ bring if a local cop kills someone in Arkansas??

The FBI simply isn't tasked nor do they have the resources to prosecute local crimes across the country.

 

IMO if Obama and Loretta Lynch has the legal tools and resources to independently indict bad cops, they would have done so.

 

Why was the DOJ investigating dirty cops if they have no way to ever prosecute them to begin with?? In the cases where they investigated they bounced without doing anything. Why would you respect the fact that they just put on a show while knowing that they could do nothing??

 

Because the weight of the investigative power of the FBI usually can present a case to a local jurisdiction that a cop did indeed murder a suspect, thus making it easier for a local DA to pursue the case despite getting flak from the local police union.

Most of the time the DOJ was investigating these cop killer cases to see if they met the standard of a hate crime.
